Bries age was cringey at first...

struggled to get started. Bries age bothered me. But I liked the characters and kept an open mind. well worth listening to.

Could not get past the Cringe factor.

This author has been compared to a few of my faves (LJ Shen and Penelope Douglas) and that made me curious about this series. I really wanted to read the complete series so I put aside all the reviews and just dived right in.

I am going to review this book from 2 sides

1 - The reader. I loved this story. I loved the characters. I loved the author's writing style. Rush was everything you would want in a leading man - gorgeous, brooding, caring, full of darkness. And Briar was everything you would want in a leading woman - confident, loving, forgiving. The author approached scenes with a fresh writing style. She made me feel like I was getting something new in the sex scenes and not the same "he grabbed my sex". The story was very YA cliche but after finishing the book I felt like I got a new story.

2 - Now the mom to a 12 year old and aunt to a 17 year old. SHEESH THIS BOOK WAS CRINGEY! It started with an 18 year old boy allowing a 14 year old girl to dry hump his knee to climax. And y'all she was 14! Her breasts were described as buds. . . . she was just starting puberty. I get the idea of we grew up together and there is a bond between them greater than age but she is a BABY and he is a grown man. The next chapter starts 4 years later and I was ok with it because for some reason I thought she was 18. . .. NOPE. Later we find out that she is only 17. SHEESH!!! 17 and he is like 22. I wanted to root for them but I couldn't.

I am really interested in reading the rest of the series. I think I am going to love this author but my age will not allow me to appreciate this type of storyline.

Good listen

I think the thing that I struggle with is the fact that she is 17. I am. it a prude and I get it, but for me it made me cringe a bit. Loved the story, loved the characters, will be reading the next book.

I actually really liked this book

So I know a lot of people have issues with the whole age thing and I am not condoning sexually active behavior at such an age especially because I have a daughter not much older than the MC. That being said I’m not stupid, I know that the kids today know twice the amount of stuff that I did at this age. It is a story, it’s not peddling porn or kiddie porn it’s telling a story that some kids these days actually go through. I liked it whether I agreed with all of it or not. It is a book I will read again because it is, in this particular instance a story and a pretty heart pulling one at that. A+ for being different and honest.

Not sure about the male narrator

I thought this was a pretty good book. I really like the female narrator and felt that she did a good job. However, I didn’t feel that the male narrators voice fit for Asher.

Hot & sweet

Loved this best friend’s younger sister Romance!
And there’s a bit of an age gap too! Asher is the sexy bad boy and Briar is the sweet, young, naive little sister. Loved the build up! Their chemistry was so intense! This is my first book by this author and I’m going straight to the next in the series! Loved the audiobook! The narrators did an awesome job!

Loved this story of Young Love♥♥♥♥♥

Charleigh Rose wrote a fabulous story of young love, miscommunication and second chances. The performances of Lexy Richmond and Roberto Scarlato were perfection and this is one BAD HABIT that you'll want to keep. Extremely well done all around ♥♥♥♥♥

I have no idea what took me so long, but I loved every second of this book! Dirty and forbidden and I loved it!!! Beautifully written!!!
