Okay overall but I rolled my eyes a lot
Elena is so in denial throughout most of the book about who the people really are around her. She doesn't think first, she just acts. I couldn't stop rolling my eyes at certain parts. The story was okay overall I just wish she was a stronger woman sooner. Julian should have been honest with Elena and some of the nonsense could have been avoided. Julian got on my nerves when it came to Marie. Just because someone is the help doesn't mean you treat them like trash. It ended with a HEA, but I'm not sure I'll read book 2 or 3.

Wow!!
Julian was way too possessive with his wife. Kinda hard to see the sweet side of him. That bothered me. Well at least he didn’t abuse her. He talked mean to her when he was mad. Not sure I could love a man like that. Some of the story was drawn out too much. It was just ok for me.

I really wanted to like this book more
I have about 5 hours left for this book... female lead is hard to relate to in a lot of ways. maybe it's the narration of the story or maybe the flow of the story all together. it's hard to see how the intimacy/ trust is going to build between them. I'm not sure what's missing, maybe it's simply NMK (not my kink)
