Simple and Effective

I will be honest, I did not know what the vagus nerve was until I saw this book and wanted to work on some self care. The recommendations are presented in a practical way that allows me to use the exercises without feeling overwhelmed. The small adjustments recommended here make a difference to feel more grounded and balanced. The tone of the book was welcoming and professional. I do not practice the exercises daily (like I should) but you can start and stop as you see fit or have time for and still feel the benefits. Highly recommend giving it a listen.

Simple Exercises That Truly Help Calm My Nerves 🌿

I’ve been dealing with anxiety and stress for a while, so when I came across this book, I was curious to see if it could help. The exercises are straightforward and easy to incorporate into my daily routine, which is a big plus for me. I’ve noticed that after consistently practicing these techniques, I feel calmer and more centered throughout the day. Although the focus on the vagus nerve was not new to me, I have never tried any of the techniques to engage it and it makes so much sense. I appreciate how the book explains everything in a way that’s easy to understand without getting too technical. It’s not a quick fix, consistency is the key, but it’s definitely made a positive impact on how I manage stress and anxiety. If you’re looking for natural ways to support your mental and physical well-being, this book offers practical tools that are worth trying. It’s been a great addition to my self-care routine.

Fantastic Learning tool

I listened 2xs so far! The first part is deep and needed to appreciate the magnificent body we have. To understand, and know that one nerve can control an area exactly is amazing. I learned how emotions can be helped by training the brain. The exercises were simple yet effective. I very much recommend this book.

Reclaim Your Mental Health

I decided to listen to this audiobook because I have been hearing a lot about the Vagus Nerve and its involvement in anxiety, specifically. I feel like today's world is just Go-Go-Go all the time, and it can be hard to take the time to slow down and direct that attention internally. This audiobook provides practical exercises to help calm down that nerve signaling to get the body out of Fight-Or-Flight and into a state of calm.

Great 11 hour audio to understand mental clarity

There's so many unknowns of how the brain works and how everything is processed. But here you get to learn what areas of the brain operate in the here and now, controls stress, anxiety to everything else. I understood how these life examples to understand the effects of disruptions and minor disappointments cause different reactions. These examples are just a piece of who we are, and sometimes we fall short in negative situations versus the actual results of developing confidence by harnessing better qualities. Its best not to fall in these mental traps, but how we reason with how we see things either beneficial or not to our overall well being. We need to try and be proactive with mental patterns to prevent overthinking and keep that brain fog away. It's true like the author stated that these exercises of breathing and stretching or even the standing exercises can help out inflammation being everything being piled up on your body. Lifes stressors can anchor us down, and make us feel terrible, but having the body in motion will release the tension each of us is facing.
