Life has a way of surprising you when you least expect it. Sometimes those surprises come wrapped in paperwork and deeds, like the inheritance Jason Hunter never saw coming, an old farmstead on the outskirts of Summer Shandy, left to him by an uncle who always believed he could do more. It's not much to look at. The fields have gone wild, monsters prowl between the weathered fence posts, and the soil hasn't seen a plow in longer than Jason cares to guess. But there's potential here, buried under the weeds and waiting for someone stubborn enough to uncover it.
His uncle must have seen something in him to leave this place in his hands. Maybe it was the same thing Jason sees now when he looks out over those untamed acres—a chance to build something real, something that grows with each passing season. Though as Jason's about to discover, country living isn't just Sunday picnics and peaceful sunsets. There's a rhythm to farm life that demands everything you've got—from wrestling with field monsters at dawn to watering crops under the midday sun, from building up the stamina to make it through those long summer days to finding time to know your neighbors over coffee at the general store. It's not the life he planned for, but sometimes the best paths are the ones we never saw coming.

A cozy, feel-good escape into the heart of farm life, Casual Farming is the kind of LitRPG that soothes the soul. Mesmerizing Gamelit Story
I really enjoyed this story. I thought the tale was as hypnotic and addictive as participating in a role-playing computer game can be. I liked that the author included game parameters. I was thrilled by the almost non-stop action. I was entertained by the characters as they were intriguing and fun. I had no idea that I would find Gamelit stories such fun, but Wolfe Locke's and Mike Caliban's collaboration was amazing. I felt that Ashlinn Romagnoli's narration was great, and her performance added to the story's entertainment. I was given a copy of the audiobook. I volunteered, without financial gain, to post this review which reflected my honest opinions regarding this audiobook.
