Publisher's summary

Follow Mae West as she searches for clues to bring killers to justice in this Campers and Criminals Cozy Mystery bundle.

Beaches, Bungalows, and Burglaries: Mae West, a far cry from the Hollywood actress, has been thrown for a loop. Her plush lifestyle in the big city of New York comes to a screeching halt after the FBI raids her mansion and arrests her husband, Paul West, for a Ponzi scheme that rips people out of millions of dollars.

Deserts, Driving, and Derelicts: Mae has grown to love her RV community, and now that she's found a place to call him, she's not going to let anybody ruin it. Mae throws all of her heart and amateur sleuthing skills into bringing the real killer to justice.

Forests, Fishing, and Forgery: Happy Trails Campground is at the center of a murder in which campers as well as locals are suspects. It looks likely that a local resident is responsible for the dastardly deed since the victim is the one person who had the power to shut down the national park, which would be devastating to Normal's small businesses.

One Crazy Story

Let me start by saying I am an RV camper & I do spend summers in a National park in a campground. I thoroughly enjoyed Mae's introduction to an RV and to the RV lifestyle.
It is amazing how many dead bodies the author managed to drop into these 3 books. Amazing. And believable (mostly. if you squint a bit with your mind's eye.)
I started this box set as something to listen to in the background while I cleaned. I ended up not cleaning but instead listening to the story.
Good job author.

Clean Mystery Series

Overall it was ok. The story was pretty engaging. The conclusion of book 3 wrapped everything up but was rather anticlimactic, it felt rushed all of a sudden.
The narration was not my favorite. I got used to it because I paid for it. She struggled often to use consistent accents and voices for characters especially in book 1 and it was confusing.

Story is not bad. Narration ruins it, though.

I didn’t mind the stories, but the narrator’s fake southern accent is awful. Nobody talks like that in the south. I also didn’t like that the author felt like she needed to explain everything. There were lots of parts to the story that were unnecessarily explained. I probably would have enjoyed reading the books bc I liked the characters—just couldn’t get past the narration.

Repetition

This storyline is cute and cozy as it should be, but some of the same information is repeated over and over again. How May grew up poor, her family died, she was taken in by a rich family, her husband stole money, she is trying to repay it. The details of how the inside of her camper looks, how she saved the town....are all repeated so often I have them memorized. I am a person who likes to finish a book when I start it, so I find myself fast forwarding through these books a lot. I also find May pretty boring herself, and rude -she doesn't listen to her boyfriend the cop and keeps finding dead bodies and lies to her boyfriend a lot. But the other charachters are interesting.

I really enjoyed all 1-3

I liked the storyline. I am big fan with stories about murder, investigations, possible love too. I liked all the characters and how it is a different story but still same back stories. good to listen when working.

Very cute! Great value with 3 books for 1 credit.

Very cute coy mystery. Being from Kentucky much was familiar. Myony issue is she continually describes the area as The Daniel Boone National Park, it’s actually the Daniel Boone National Forest and covers a lot of area. This gives the impression it’s just a small park setting. There are several hundred thousand acres.
I love her character and the friends she makes. I will continue reading her books.
