It definitely exceeded my expectations. It is well written, the plot is detailed and characters are great too; very entertaining. It is not cheesy at all. I would not change a thing.

Cozy with cookies

A pastry chef trying to put the crumbs of her life back together, moves to the town of her dreams with little else. A scant amount money, a lousy old car, and little hope. but lots of dreams to start over she finds herself willing to do anything to prove herself to the owner of a bakery called The Cookie House. Imagine this as cookie dough, stirring in a murder, then a second one, a new bestie with Cuban coffee and a flower shop, and an innocent bread baker cooking in the jail.
It is a well set-up cozy mystery, good character development and good twists and turns. A fun easy listen the I would recommend if you are a cozy mystery fan.
Yes, I did try this because of the dog on the cover, Oliver. I'm a sucker for a dog and this time - it was a good lead!

A PERFECT BLEND

These days I'm listening to books much more than reading, so not only does the book need to keep my attention, but the performance needs to "go with" the book's characters and be good enough to listen to more than once. This book and narrator do both.

A very good start for what I hope becomes a many book series. A place I'd like to visit with characters I'd like to know.

Cookies

I loved the baking around the mystery. The characters especially Maxie and Oliver. I loved Kate who was so willing to save Sam.

sweet little mystery

At first I was not sure about the narrator. But by the end of the book I loved her. Cozy little mystery , just enough to keep my interest..

Wonderful

Such a sweet cozy mystery! The main character does get over shadowed by the charming supporting cast but it’s not too distracting. I love the whole town!

LOVE!

I wasn’t sure what to expect from this one at first, but I was pleasantly surprised. This might be one of my new favorites! Definitely recommend to anyone who wants a lighthearted read. I found myself itching to get back to the story when I had to stop in between real life. I will be seeking out more titles from this author in the very near future.
