Body and blood work tests would be hard to get from doctor so many of the corrections seemed to require specific testing. I agree with some of the information presented.

Really enjoyed listening to the content of this well written book when I wasn't bothered by the narrator's voice sounding like Siri.

Very little medical research has been devoted to women over 40!Dr Gottfried has taken her western medical training & combined it with functional medicine to really explore & find solutions to the real changes facing women as we age. Now, I have to say i am a bit overwhelmed by the daunting list of things to do daily or weekly- and I do find some of it undoable with my career and demands on my life, but something to strive towards. Diet changes are possible but hours of daily meditation & yoga might make it challenging. I am so glad she has at least started this conversation!!

There is a wealth of information in this book. I highly recommend it for every woman to listen to &/or read. I bought the hard copy also to study it. You can have tremendous influence over your physical & mental health!

This was a great book, addressing common issues most women have faced. I had to give it 4 stars instead of 5 because the narration was so poor. If you are narrating a medical book, I would expect one to check on the pronunciations. As a medical professional, this book was filled with so many mispronunciations that I often had to turn it off and take a break. There was even an inconsistency between the pronunciation of the same words from one section of the book to the next. The narration was also very mechanical, which is not appealing, but not as annoying as the mispronounced words. Nevertheless, the book is good, I recommend it.

Overall, I loved the book content. The narration was a bit unsettling at times because the narrator is so articulate it almost doesn't sound like normal speech. Also, the author refers to "notes" many times but I can't recall an explanation of where to find those notes. For example, in Chapter 2 when she mentioned eating the rainbow, she refers to "Notes' to help you accomplish that task. I've downloaded and reviewed the PDF, but it still isn't apparent. Also, there are a lot of footnote references (example on p. 63 are footnote references 27, 28 & 29) in the book, but I don't find the actual footnotes. Would love assistance on locating both notes in the enhancement and footnotes in the book. Thanks,
