Story
My dog once took a bullet that was intended for me. A bullet that ripped through his chest, narrowly missing his heart, and exited through his shoulder blade. This left him unconscious on the floor of my home. Amazingly, this bullet did not kill him. Ten years ago, I adopted Blue after I broke up with my boyfriend one hot, early summer night with the windows open and the neighborhood listening. The next morning I went straight to the pound in Bushwick, Brooklyn. Articles on buying your first dog tell you never to buy a dog on impulse.

Story
I didn't mean to kill him. The last thing I want is the director of my film—my first big role—dead. Now the cops are here, and even though it's obviously self-defense, I'm done for...my life is over. I'll never work in this town again even if I manage to avoid jail time. I'll be infamous instead of famous. Temperance Johnson is straight out of central casting—a spy master with tiger's eyes and unnatural grace—a real killer. He offers me a solution. He'll sweep all this under the rug and help me reach my goals if I work for him. Well, for the government.

Publisher's summary
Justice with a vengeance.
How do you find peace in a world rife with injustice? A world that is so wrong?
Sydney Rye is in Miami, surrounded by friends and co-conspirators who share her values and goals. People who believe in her. For the first time since her brother’s murder, Sydney Rye is finding a way to live in peace but also isn’t helping anyone in need.
Unfortunately, this peace can’t last. Sydney is in the eye of a storm. With the effects of Datura under control, she no longer hears thunder, sees lightning, or feels the cold sting of hard rain. But danger rages all around her, circling closer every moment.
Declan Doyle spent the last five years hunting Sydney Rye. He’s faced humiliation and grave injury at her hands, but nothing can stop him now. He has a warrant, she’s on US territory, and this time, he’s locking her up for good. They can take his badge and career, but he’ll get Sydney Rye this time.
Dan Burke is obsessive, brilliant, and a founding member of Joyful Justice. Safely ensconced on the isolated island headquarters of his organization, Dan does what he wants, when he wants. He’s the man in charge. But when the island stronghold falls under attack and his closest allies betray him, he’s forced to defend the network they’ve built at any cost.
Lenox Gold is dangerous, gorgeous, and devoted to justice. As a gigolo and pimp, he runs his business at the highest standards of ethics - everyone is a consenting adult, getting what they need out of the transaction. With the help of Joyful Justice, Lenox is determined to bring these ideals to the entirety of his industry.
But when the woman who showed Lenox how to transform his life turning tricks on the beach into a profitable international business begins breaking the rules, Lenox must choose between betrayal of a trusted friend and the ideals he spent his life defending.
What none of them see coming is a brewing discontent. Masses once thought to be harmless - splinters of humanity the internet fostered into groups of organized zealots - are forming their own networks, preparing to take revenge.
The status quo is cracking. The war is brewing.

Story
It was 1970 in a defeated Rhode Island fishing town. Vietnam and Nixon dominated the national news. Both the near and distant future looked bleak. But they were five inseparable high school friends with something incredible in common: an unwavering resolve to look after each other no matter what hell life threw at them. And they were on a mission. The plan was simple: Go off the grid before they turned 18 to avoid the draft. They’d sell some grass, stack some cash, then head west and start a commune. What could possibly go wrong?

Story
Jazz Bashara is a criminal. Well, sort of. Life on Artemis, the first and only city on the moon, is tough if you're not a rich tourist or an eccentric billionaire. So smuggling in the occasional harmless bit of contraband barely counts, right? Not when you've got debts to pay and your job as a porter barely covers the rent. Everything changes when Jazz sees the chance to commit the perfect crime, with a reward too lucrative to turn down.

Is Betrayal ever justified?
While Sydney is learning to come to peace with herself and her life in Miami with Robert strings are being pulled within the organization that may end Joyus Justice forever.
With the soothing voice of Sonja Field and the words of Emily Kimelman, we are once again emerged into the world of Sydney Rye and the dangers that surround her and her friends and allies.
This series has captured me all the way!

Can't wait for the next book
What a cliff hanger. This will positively make you get the authors next book. I believe it's Murphy and him getting his memory back was a great thing I believe. Great narration as usual.
