About this listen

Sometimes two broken pieces make a whole. He's the one she's always loved. She's the one he could never have.

A forbidden night of passion resulted in years of heartbreak when he walked away. Now she's in danger and needs his help.

Trust doesn't come easy for FBI Agent Nick Stone, especially when it comes to love, but he'll risk it all for Katelyn Slade.

Including his heart.

Bullets fly, betrayals are exposed, and the flames from their past ignite.

His protection might be what saves her, but in the end, she will be his salvation.

Good story

Good follow up to the first one which is sometimes rare. Only thing I didn’t like was the voice of the female when she was herself. She did an awesome job as a man or other voices. It was just that baby voice grated on my nerves. Really wanted to rip Kate and Kola “s father to shreds. What a piece of crap and their mother was just as bad enabling him. Loved when Nick took care of him but not good enough for my sake. Overall great story.

Loving the series

I love a series that can make you laugh out loud, cry and be a little suspenseful all in one! Love a series that also brings all the characters together yet have their own storyline.
So glad I found this author and love the Narrators.. I tend to pick a ton of books that have Teddy narrating.. never disappoints.

I have been sucked into this world that KC has created... I can't stop, every story hooks me more and more!!

These characters are so amazing and the banter between them is awesome.
I love the fierce loyalty they all have... You can feel it all through the pages...

Amazing audio too!! Callie and Teddy are the best!

I loved everything about this book. The narrator’s were excellent of course. Lots of heat, little suspense and love!

Another Winner!

I'm not sure K.C. Lynn knows how to write anything BUT 5-star books. The flow of this story is perfect for the way it eventually plays out. And the epilogue is fan-freakin-tastic! I can't wait to read the rest of the books in this series. I've listened to all of the books from her so far, and the narrators (Callie Dalton and Teddy Hamilton) are perfect for these books.

A couple issues

This may have some spoiler alerts so read at your own risk.

I have listen to all these books and the ones that came before with Jackson, Sawyer and Cade etc. all of them have a couple things exactly alike in them .

One thing and it takes away from the stories is how dramatic the men are , come on guys really , it's ok to have a past and to grow up in violence and dysfunction many of us have . But all you do is whine about it and on and on you go through the whole book.

Jackson , never wanted to get married or have kids due to his father being bad and the same blood ran in his body . boo hoo get over it, Something with Cade something with Nick , something with 99 percent of all the men in these books . Sawyer was about the only one who had a pretty good childhood but as an adult his dad and him have problems.

I would really like to know how in the first series with them being Navy Seals do they have no control over their tempers ? it's ridiculous at times .

Now we have a FBI agent who doesn't want to love or let anyone love him because his mother left him and he told her he loved her and she left anyway so he wouldn't say it again or let anyone tell him they love him so he couldn't be hurt . Now he won't be with the love of his life so she can't hurt him huh how does that even make sense?

I'd really like to see this author change things up and not have all the stories so much a like. Give the men a bigger set of family Jewels so they can stop being such drama queens.

Other then these parts of the stories and the whining that goes with it I love this series it's just hard to deal with .

I'm glad I have all the books in both series and I have listened more then once . I do fast forward the drama parts ..

Ehhhh!

The original series was great (men of honor) but this entire series felt very repetitive. Logan is just like Jax, Stone cries just like Sawyer (I haven’t cried since I was 7) and has the same relationship with his mother like Caid. All the women get hurt after an argument with their “one true love” and then he muster up the courage to say I love you after the female faces a near death experience. Idk it’s like I really wish there were different backgrounds for the second series.
