Great start to a series

Any additional comments?

A classic mystery/suspense thriller that keeps you guessing. Who thought the world of insurance fraud could ever be so cut throat. They meant to kidnap Special Agent Julia Jackson. They got the wrong person. Now it's up to Julia and her new partner Mark Vincent to figure out who is after her and why before they try again and get it right this time.

This is a great start to a series. It's an entertaining and enjoyable book from start to finish. The story pulls you in almost immediately and never lets go. The twists throughout the story keep you guessing. It's well written with an engaging storyline, plenty of suspense and a great cast of characters.

Really like that the connection between Julia and Mark is building slowly and naturally, not rushed and hurried. Looking forward to reading the rest of the series. More mystery's as well as seeing how things develop between Julia and Mark.

Heather Masters did a great job with the narration. This is the first time I have listened to her narrate a book. Nice voice. Easy to listen to for long periods of time. Clearly spoken with a smooth even pace. Really good character voices. Both male and female. You could always tell which character was speaking. Very enjoyable

Good plot

Good story and narration. Definitely held my interest with the different possibilities and the psyches of the suspects. I admit that, for me, hearing about the sister's unfortunate rape (a subject which is no laughing matter, ever) became tiresome by the end of the book..

slow start, but great book

I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the author, narrator, or publisher. This was a great book about a mysterious insurance fraud and kidnapping plot. It started out pretty slow, but once it picked up it was great. I was constantly trying to figure out who the kidnappers were. It was well written and easy to follow. The narrator did a great job. She was smooth and easy to listen to. Glad I read this book.

Nice southern mystery

I enjoyed listening to this audio book. Heather Masters does a wonderful job of reading this story and bringing the characters to life. The story is the first in this series and did a great job introducing and creating the characters. Leaving room for the characters to grow. Will look forward to more in this series. I was gifted this book with the understanding I would leave an honest review.

Great Story! Excellent Detective Thriller. Julia is an insurance investigator that seems to have become the center of attention of criminals. When a co-worker is kidnapped in her place so and her new partner investigate several cases while trying to determine whose after her.

This is the beginning of a great series and I look forward to more.....

The narration was exceptionally well done. She does a good jobs with perfect voice inflections making it easy to discern the characters without having to change her voice.

Masterful Narration

The story is great but what makes this book is the narrator. Heather Masters voices all characters brilliantly, from the strong willed heroine to her southern belle mother. Even the ex-military male investigator is done perfectly. Probably the most enjoyed Audiobook I've listened to.

Absolute Liability: A Southern Fraud Thriller
: J.W. Becton

Could you imagine listening to the radio and hear that you have been abducted at gunpoint? That was what happened to insurance fraud investigator Julia Jackson. From there this fast paced suspense novel grabs the listener by the scruff of the neck and says hang on tight because the ride will be bumpy. An exciting storyline would not let me go to sleep until I finished. I am hoping that the issue with her sister's past is a hint of more to come.

The narration was well done. The characters were well portrayed. Heather Masters was great to listen to!
