Story
Ten years ago, legendary author Riley Cannon produced three of the best-selling thriller novels of all-time. Then, she vanished, leaving the final three books of the saga unfinished and producing the biggest mystery in the history of publishing. Now, a decade later, there is word from her mega-agent, the glamorous and powerful Topaz Kennedy, that a new Cannon novel is all-but-finished. But, Topaz knows the truth: Riley Cannon hasn’t even started the book. With the clock counting down to the publication date, desperate measures are needed.

Story
By the time playwright and actor Shawn Frost had won two Tony Awards by his late 20s, he was seen as a theater prodigy—a meteoric rise that the performing arts community had not witnessed in almost a hundred years. His work? Shakespearean in scope, character, and popularity—boundless and beautiful. His own character? Flawed. And in a place like New York City, where failings get magnified, Shawn Frost finds that, even from the heights of artistic sublimity, no one is insulated from the demons that have caused the best of entertainers to fall from grace.

Fantastic Book with So Many Easter Eggs
Reviewed: 11-07-22
Full disclosure, I'm a narrator. What initially drew me to this book was the real life parallels to my work. To be sure, there are dozens of easter eggs for the audiobook professionals, What I did not expect was such a well written and thoughtful approach to thrillers. I enjoyed the characterization, the shift in POV and the breaking of the 4th wall. Just an overall superb listen, Bravo!

Story
Channel Two predicted a blanket of snow for Thanksgiving weekend - unusual, but not alarming for the little Maine island. What comes is a blinding blizzard, and a mass disappearance of nearly every person Robby Pierce knows. He and his family flee, trying to escape the snow and the invisible forces stealing people right from the street. Miles away, Brad Jenkins battles the same storm. Alone, he attempts to survive as snow envelops his house. When the storm breaks, Brad makes his way south to where the snow ends and the world lies empty.

Good performance, dragging plot
Reviewed: 11-07-19
Kyle Tait does a great job with a huge cast of characters. I struggled with the plot though. it develops over a LONG time. Then as the payoff comes at the end it seemed to lack cohesion. Reminded me of the end of the TV show LOST where your last thought is "that's it?" I received this free in exchange for an honest review.

All that changes when she receives a registered letter and finds out she’s inherited a performance town. Casper Creek is located in Kentucky, on top of a small mountain, and is fashioned after notorious towns from the old west. Workers dress up, man the saloon, and put on a variety of performances several times a day. A city girl, Hannah is out of her element. She’s determined to give it a shot, though.

Heather Masters does a fantastic job with the narration of this book. It's a style I'm not used to for her, but She pulled it off brilliantly. I also really enjoyed her characterizations especially her depiction of the grandmother, Abigail. I also enjoyed the story, even though as usual for book one of a series, it left me wanting more!
