Jimmy Detroit is a hitman, the best, but he makes a mistake: he comes to Washington DC for a hit. Jack Duggan's town.
The contractor tries to cancel the hit the only way she can, by sending a kill squad for Detroit. But Detroit has already decided he's had enough and is going to retire to the sun. He’s fifty and there are no old hitmen. But before he goes he wants to know why Reilly, the political fixer, and his girlfriend are marked for death.
Jack Duggan and Deputy Marshal Roni Shapiro track him down, but instead of taking him in, they find themselves fighting beside him for their lives, and the lives of the civilians.
Two marshals and a hitman against ten professional killers intent on taking Detroit’s crown.
It’s Detroit’s fight, Jack could walk away, but he has sworn to uphold the law, and he will live or die by that oath.
As night falls and the killers arrive, there seems to be only one likely outcome: Die.
