About this listen
Three newlywed couples arrive on Bali’s Honeymoon Island, expecting two weeks of bliss. It’s a five-star luxury all-inclusive experience. White beaches, endless cocktails, and Instagram-perfect moments await. But beneath the tropical paradise, dark secrets threaten to ruin everything.
Timothy and Jonah, wealthy entrepreneurs with a spoiled son, hide sins from their past—one involving a death on a cruise, the other a crime in Bali.
Nathan and Samantha, the hot ex-nanny turned trophy wife, grapple with infertility and a shocking paternity secret.
Bartosz and Angelika (he’s a chef, she’s a former sex worker) carry debts to the other couples they don’t even realize they owe.
Over fourteen days, the couples bond—but their pasts are too deeply intertwined to stay hidden. The sly concierge, Putu, knows more than he lets on. And as bodies are discovered on days 3, 5, 7, 9, and 11, paradise turns into a nightmare.
Will anyone make it off the island unscathed—or alive? Welcome to Honeymoon Island, where secrets come to die.
This addictive psychological thriller full of twists is perfect for fans of The White Lotus, Lucy Foley, Liane Moriarty, Lucy Clarke, Sarah Goodwin and T.M. Logan.

Story
My life has never been better. I have a beautiful little girl, and I am engaged to be married to the man I’ve had a crush on since I can remember. So when Nick, my handsome fiancé, announces that his sister Carla is finally coming home, it’s truly the icing on the cake. That was twelve years ago, and no one has seen her since. Everyone is ecstatic about Carla’s return. But as I spend more time with her, I can't shake the feeling that something isn't right. Her behavior is a little off, her childhood memories don't align with mine, and she's oddly evasive about her lost years.

Story
Photographer Isla Wilson is thrilled she's landed her dream job, but the clients who hired her are getting stranger by the day. It sounded so perfect—a month's assignment at the lush Scottish Highlands property of architect Alban McGregor, and his wife, Jessica. But in the woods, there's a playhouse with a chilling history. Two years ago, the McGregors' daughter Elodie was abducted and then died in that playhouse. The townspeople insist her abductor had to be a stranger in their town. Alban refuses to knock the playhouse down, even keeping a picture of it on his wall.

The story was okay
I like the storyline and the different performers for the characters. "SPOILER ALERT" but seriously everyone is either a killer or dead. So am I just to assume the employee Puto an avid swimmer just drowned. unless I miss something the first murder/suicide was not resolved. the book was good, kept me interested but also annoyed as the main character was so passive and weak minded. she was so annoying. I want read this for a 2nd time.

Creative
A fun listen. A little predictable but still entertaining to listen during a road trip.

Honeymoon from hell to put it mildly, although the place is beautiful and captivating. Cleverly written

Karma
The premise of this book would be a great season of White Lotus. A good beach read. The improbability of these specific honeymooners being at the same place at the same time isn’t addressed but overlook that. The characters are all flawed people, we all have good and bad in our past.

difficult to follow.
God story but flat at times. I struggles to finish it. It gave the feel of a low budget movie.

Great Twist
I loved the inter connecting storylines and how the story was told from various perspectives. I did get a little annoyed that once I knew who the main characters were that each chapter had to be announced by that character’s name. Good book, though!
