Robert Iger became CEO of The Walt Disney Company in 2005, during a difficult time. Competition was more intense than ever, and technology was changing faster than at any time in the company’s history. His vision came down to three clear ideas: Recommit to the concept that quality matters, embrace technology instead of fighting it, and think bigger - think global - and turn Disney into a stronger brand in international markets.

Hold On to Your Kids

Story
Dr. Neufeld and Dr. Maté explore the phenomenon of peer orientation: the troubling tendency of children and youth to look to their peers for direction—for a sense of right and wrong, for values, identity and codes of behavior. But peer orientation undermines family cohesion, poisons the school atmosphere, and fosters an aggressively hostile and sexualized youth culture. It provides a powerful explanation for schoolyard bullying and youth violence; it is an escalating trend that has never been adequately described or contested until Hold On to Your Kids.

Story
The God of the universe - the Creator of nitrogen and pine needles, galaxies and E-minor - loves us with a radical, unconditional, self-sacrificing love. And what is our typical response? We go to church, sing songs, and try not to cuss. Are you hungry for an authentic faith that addresses the problems of our world with tangible, even radical, solutions? God is calling you to a passionate love relationship with Himself. Because the answer to religious complacency isn’t working harder at a list of do's and don'ts - it's falling in love with God.

I purchased this book about 5 years ago. I’m glad that I waited because I was not mature enough to understand the message and now I’m glad I’m still alive to learn from it. I prayed before listening to this book because I wanted to receive the information Mr. Chan wanted me to understand verse offend. I love when the author is the same person that reads the audio. I also love that I can grow from here as a Christ believer. This book gives a lot of information on how one can grow, pray and reflect. If you are not open to change then you might stop at chapter 2 but I sure hope you listen all the way to the end. Thank you Mr. Chan for being bold and being obedient.

I'm so glad that Mel committed to being the narrator to her own book. This makes such a difference to me. I listened to this book while I was running and it felt as if she was my running buddy. The great thing about this book is that, it's a game changer. Some writers teach about discipline but this book goes deeper then just discipline. This book teaches you to be passionate about your discipline. Thanks Mel Robbins. I'm about to press replay.
