A new (to me) author is so exciting
This book was a real surprise. I was prepared for something forgettable but discovered a likable protagonist , lovely setting, and lots of quirky friends.

Tell me it was written by a man without telling me it was written by a man
At first I thought the main character was just a bit unlikable, selfish , unhinged due to character development, but there is definitely a stereotype the author has injected into the story that I find unreadable.
