the main character is difficult to like. she acts hastily and unwisely and justifies her actions as some kind of womens lib.

Could Not Put It Down

The story kept me guessing to the very end. I really liked Lady Swift and Clifford. There was no boring filler in the story. The narrator was excellent. I look forward to more!!

cute & cozy

It was a cute, cozy mystery, but Lady Eleanor was a just a little stupid, running around telling all that she knew when they could have been involved in the crime.

Light history mystery

Light hearted mystery with charming characters. I did find it hard to believe that a world traveler such as she claims was so impulsive. Thinking like she did to solve the mystery would have gotten her injured or worse in her travels. Emotions aside she couldn’t be that flaky at times. Good read for the 10 hour drive even though I screamed at her impulsive nature.

Too Long for No Reason

I know that mysteries need extra material throughout to build and support and add interest, but there’s a fine line between build/support and trail on needlessly. This does the latter. To be clear, this is my first and last Verity Bright mystery.

Fun story overall.

There were a couple of times that I really wanted to slap the main character for being stupid but I find that to be fairly common in this type of story. I still enjoyed the story though.

Really enjoyed this mystery. It keeps you guessing and the characters were very interesting, try it .

it was a quick easy listen, but complicated enough to make you want to go back and listen to figure out who dun it

Enjoyed getting to know these characters and I look forward to reading more in the series.

There are other cozy mysteries that are better. But this one is cute and makes a person feel good, so why not?
