Great performance, but I felt there could be more romance

I love the voice acting on this book. I know there is a third book in this series that is a continuation of this so I’m not upset at all the plot holes, but overall it was good. I definitely recommend reading the first book before this one, you will be missing a lot of context if you don’t.

Amazing All Around

Great world building. Love the narration. The chemistry is there. It is a slow burn but I can tell these two are going to be soooo good when they finally catch fire.

Re-read/listen material

This is a re-read; or listen if you will, for me. There is just something about these characters and story that has me in a chokehold.

Rafe is absolutely delicious. Penny, oh Penny, is THE IT girl! I have such a crush on her. She’s everything I want and love in a female character.

The narrators added to this story ten-fold and captured the characters so well. Every character has their own voice and tone. This is the top of narrating that makes you appreciate audiobooks and the work and dedication that goes into the production.

The Characters and Writing

One of the best Mafia romance series in the game! Great characters and amazing writing, I loved it! From start to finish, it’s super addictive.

This book was a wild ride, and honestly, I wasn’t sure how I felt at first. Rafael and Penelope’s relationship? Let’s just say it’s complicated—like “fireworks and hurricanes” complicated.

At first, Rafael’s constant coldness and harsh words really got under my skin. I couldn’t figure out how Penelope stood it! But then, as the story unfolded, I realized there’s so much more to both of them. Rafael has this simmering intensity that pulls you in, and Penelope? She’s a firecracker, always pushing boundaries, stirring up trouble, and refusing to back down.

The push and pull between them is everything. It’s messy and emotional, but the chemistry is undeniable. And as frustrating as they could be, I found myself rooting for them to figure it out. Their pasts, their secrets, the way they challenge each other—it’s what makes the story so addictive.

Somme Sketcher’s writing has this gritty, emotional edge that pulls you in and doesn’t let go. Even when I was frustrated with the characters, I couldn’t stop reading. The twists, the tension, the buildup—it all leads to a cliffhanger that left me desperate for the next book.

If you love enemies-to-lovers with a ton of angst and a romance that keeps you on the edge of your seat, Sinners Condemned is for you. Just be prepared—it’s part one of a duet, and you’ll definitely want to dive into the next book right away!

I liked Rafe! I didn’t think I would like anyone other than Angelo…but Raphael did it for me. Rafe is all charm and wing tipped shoes, that is until Penelope (Penny) comes crashing into his world. The narration was great, both of them fit the characters and the writing. I have the sinner series on my shelf—I went straight back to audible to get the second of the duet. I’m making myself take breaks, because if I don’t do that, then the story will end 🫣🤭🥹🤣🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ Came back for my second helping of Rafe and Penny…and DELICIOUS it will be!!

this is the 2nd book in the sinners series
it's very good, I love the tension between Rafe and Penny it's so hot u cud cut it with a knife
yes this is a slow burn but in the best way possible
Rafe really fights against his urges to fool around with Penny or play games that end up with him doing something sexual to Penny....but Penny never backs down from a bet so she ends up getting fingered or pussy suck rather than back down from Rafe....but it's getting to the point now that he is obsessed with her, can't stop thinking about her, he even admits that he likes to listens to her call the sinners anonymous and confess to stupid shit but to him it sooths him I guess, it actually use to annoy him but yet he can't stop.....
at the end of the book she asked where they are going he tells her home......awe.....so cute I hope they fall in love

I’ve read this before but decided to listen this time around and I am so glad I did! Love this series but this book is amazing!

cliff hanger???

didn't feel complete. the ending felt like a cliff hanger of sorts but like 10 more chapters were missing.
