Bible

Narration is excellent. Dale speaks with clarity. Might be difficult (but not impossible) if you simply wanted to pick and find a certain Old or New Testament book; but easy to follow along if you start in Genesis and end with Revelation. I really enjoy the New American Standard Version of the Bible.

NASB is my favorite: I like the plain reading

Would you consider the audio edition of The Complete Audio Holy Bible to be better than the print version?

The Audio copy provides me with the opportunity to hear the Bible when I can't read.

None, the Bible is like no other book.

What does Dale McConanchie bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

The purpose of the purchase for me is that it provides me with the opportunity to hear the Bible when I can't read.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

All of the Bible is inspired by God and it brings me peace and joy. Not peace and joy that is of this world.

Hard to navigate and choose books and chapters

The reader was a bit too slow for my taste also a bit monotone. The format of the Bible on audible is difficult to go back and review a specific book as there is no table of contents.

What disappointed you about The Complete Audio Holy Bible?

The actual Books of the Bible are not labeled as such, making it hard to navigate quickly.

What did you like best about this story?

It is God's Word, what's not to like!!!

I love the dramatic reading, I just wish it was Book for Book.

It's the Bible

It's the Bible, how can you give it a less than perfect review?
The narration is good. I like to listen before going to bed as it is relaxing.

Excellent, clear narration

I really enjoy this audio Bible and have been through it several times. I think the narrator does a wonderful job in terms of pronunciation and overall pacing; you can tell he did his research and doesn't trip up on names of people or places. He is not overly dramatic and lets the text speak for itself which is the most important thing. I highly recommend this for daily listening, long trips, and any other use!

The narrator is slow and mispronounces many names.

Also, the audio quality would often shift, making their edits annoyingly obvious. Find a better audio NAS.

Audio Quality and Ease of Use

How could the performance have been better?

It is really hard to find specific books. The chapters are not consistent with the audio file. I was trying to find the beginning of the new testament which ended up being chapter twenty of the second to last audiable file. A little confusing.

Pronounces names and other words oddly

I had a difficult time following many parts as he pronounces names and places so differently than I have ever heard them before. This is my first time through this Bible version, so perhaps some of it is the translation.
