Wish ESV Hear the Word Audio Bible format like KJV

Is only 15 files (for 66 books of the Bible) instead of the almost 66 (one for each book) files in the KJV version by same publisher. Situation, i.e. finding a book and chapter efficiently, is exacerbated by the name of each file NOT including a list of what books are included in it....only has a "Part 1" thru "Part 15" SUFFIX at the END of each file title, which will be difficult to see/use, depending on the title scrolling mechanism on your player. In summary, the KJV version has the book name, e.g. "Genesis" at the BEGINNING of each file title, and mostly just the one book per file -- this is ideal !!

good tone, easy listen but no table of content

the narration is good, not too animated, with inflection of the narrator's voice giving tone to God's word but it has no organization of the chapters, just 15 files no table content or book separation other than 5 second to let the listener know when the next chapter or book begins
For the price of this book I was expecting more care taken in making this book easier to navigate and not having to spend more time making bookmarks so I can listen a specific book
my real rating would have been 3 1/2 stars but I can't do that with the rating system

Just the Word

There are no competing sound effects with this version. The listener gets an unvarnished version of the Bible.

Oh, it is a great word of God the sword comes out of the mouth of Jesus Christ our king .

The greatest word Symphony ever

just like a great composer, God in his love for us wrote into life a symphony of himself. every line, even the mundane law writings that we skim over have so much truth. for instance Ruth was able, actually given permission to glean someone's field because of Leviticus 19. and through horrible circumstances that led her to the place she was in, it was used for God's Glory. every line, every book is another stanza, another instrument bellowing out it's musical soundtrack till all at once we hear the completion of the work, the notes, the musicians individual lines and instruments manifold together as a masterpiece only God himself could write. the symphony of his love for me!

not what i expected

Its not broken into books and chapters by book. its aweful. Cant find anything. Do not recommend.

for improvement: please add book titles and chapter numbers in search mode. It is sooo inconvenient to have to figure it out by trial and error!

I love the English standard version and I love David Heath's voice. also the fact that you can slow the speed down on audible is huge. it allows me to think more about what is being said before we are rushed on to the next thing. highly recommended this audio Bible!

My Favorite Bible Reader

I have listened to a number of Audio Bibles over the years but David Heath’s delivery is my favorite. The emotive value he applies to texts seems spot on. He conveys dignity or passion in his intonation as the text demands. He is a gifted story teller, sketching out the characters with subtle changes in his voice. His reading is understated-not overly theatrical and easy on the ears.

No table of contents

The review with the table of contents on audible is no longer accurate. Those numbers don’t correspond to the books/chapters on the audible app. Big waste of money. No way to skip to a specific book much less chapter or verse.
