Wild ride

This book definitely requires an open mind. It is a wild ride for sure, but there is a level of madness to it.

Super Good

If you like Philosophy and true crime/serial killers you will LOVE this. Amazing cast, both really brought me into the story. Good story, a little hard to follow bc so much internal monologue and I’m still trying to wrap my head around the ending.

Wow!

My mind is still reeling, this novel is absolutely astounding! The twists and turns and more turns is stunning. My mind is blown and this was just the first book!

Unexpected!!

Well this one definitely threw me for a loop! I expected dark and twisty being that it’s a dark romance book. However, I did NOT expect just HOW twisty it would get! The plot twist definitely surprised me but I think it was my favorite part of the book and now I’m jumping into the next book! lol If you pick this up, enjoy the ride!

couldn't finish

I love a good dark romance but I just did not like either of the leading characters. really what agency would let a mentally ill killer out for consultation? And there is no police or fbi watching his interactions with this so call expert not carrying a gun.

Story was good, keeps you guessing

Very good book ready to read the next characters were well written . Story was little all over the place but ties together

Female narrator's voice was eh

I ended up also following along to the story on Kindle. Whenever it was the FMC's narration, I would pause and then go to Kindle and read her part. Her voice was annoying, and made me feel like I was listening to an old and unattractive sub substitute teacher. She's sounds like a whiny teen when should be filled with rage, and then an insecure preteen when she's in denial or confused. Besides that the MMC's narrator was sufficient enough. Teddy Hamilton would've been perfect for this role tho. The story was fantastic. I will skimpily read the remaining two books in the series, even tho I jumped the gun and purchased it through audible. I was so excited for the synopsis that I didn't pay attention to the narrators. My fault- I typically avoid purchasing or listening to any audiobooks that feature Lucy Rivers.

Verbose, but still entertaining

Enjoyed the book... but the FMC says "Callum" like Gollum says "Gollem" from Lord of the Rings. It's like a combo of clearing her throat and barking.

Amazing story, incredible performance!

This book will leave you obsessed with the characters and the storyline. A great listen!

Original idea

This was a pretty unique story! It was very shocking. There were a few parts that felt like a Ted talk on philosophy based on the content and how the actors read it. But overall pretty solid for a dark romance.
