I'm so glad I started spooky season with this romantic suspense!! I was hooked from the epigraph 😅

Remi and her brother inherent  their uncle's  rundown Victorian home in a gloomy town with very weird people and even a weirder neighbor. Her plan is to renovate it and sell it, but the house seems haunted 😶‍🌫️ This book kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time. It felt like the best rollercoaster ride 🎢 If you’re looking for spooky and eerie vibes, I highly recommend this book asap!! I could always count on @sophie_lark_author to deliver sick and twisted with the spice extra spicy 😗🤌🏻

Wow! What a story! This was such a wild ride and I rarely knew where things were going. Remi buys a new house with her brother in a new town to renovate. But it comes with the grumpiest neighbor who has many bad rumors about him throughout town. Dane is a recluse who doesn't do much but work the night shift since losing his wife and son.

Dane and Remi start out on a bad foot absolutely hating each other. But their chemistry quickly sparks. Dane falls head over heels and there is no denying their pull. The spice.... It's SPICIN!!!

There's mystery, suspense, ghosts?!, body parts, murder, swoony moments and more!

The audio!! so good! I felt like I was inside a movie.

Oh my word! I read this as an audiobook and Conor Crais is my new favorite narrator. He completely brought Dane to life, and whew!!
This is a story of twists and turns and full of mystery and intrigue (and yes spice) set in a very spooky setting. It will keep you guessing until the end. Well done!

God damn! I picked a good one for my first! The plot twist in the end was something I didn’t see coming.

Twisted dark and lovely

Ugh just what I needed plot twists after twist and great story as it unfolds loved it all every min

Dark story I wasn’t able to put down

At the beginning I wasn’t sure this book was for me but I persisted. By the end of chapter 2 or 3 I was caught up in the mystery and romance.

Quick Review

I didn't hate this book but I didn't love it either. Nothing really happened til the last 10-15%. It did gave the spooky vibe I was looking for.

Good thriller vibes

This was my first Sophie Lark read and I enjoyed it. The plot of this book was great, the thriller aspect was very good and I didn't totally see the ending coming. My issue with this one is with the spice. I love a spicey book, but this one did nothing for me, the spice felt unnecessary to the plot at times.
