We need more cozy Fantasy books like this

I’ve loved Travis Baldree’s narration since discovering the Cradle series, and this book piqued my interest, not knowing he was also an author. I’m so glad I gave this a try, as the story is like a warm hug - or maybe mug (of coffee) - on a cold night.

The stakes are low, the characters are wonderful, and the story is sweet. The narration is great of course, though I’ll admit I somewhat expected the narrator to have written the story so as to give himself some over-the-top characters to voice. Kind of like a narrators vanity project. But that wasn’t the case at all. Not that there weren’t characters with charming voices, but the author “understood the assignment”. I’m incredibly impressed with his talent, and am excited to know he working on a sequel following a different character from this story. Count me in!

Also, writers & publishers, if you’re listening: more low stakes cozy Fantasy books like this please!

I was genuinely surprised at how much I liked this story. Always enjoyed Travis Baldree's narration, but had no idea he could write. Fun story, likeable characters, and (hopefully) a great start to a series?

feel good slice of life

I find myself coming back to this one over and over again. between the story and amazing narration, this book is like the big comfy hoodie you wear to feel comfy and warm.

So much respect for Travis Baldree. This was a super sweet and cozy lit RPG. I felt like I wanted to live in this world where everyone gets to discover love and friendship and coffee and pastries together.

Good, straightforward, and simple.

Lady wants a coffee shop, so she makes herself a damn coffee shop. Pretty good, all in all. Although a little bit Disney in its approach to conflict.

Absolutely Fantastic Debute

This book is everything the genre of fantasy had needed. A warm comforting that kept me intrigued from start to finish.

Whimsical street level wonder

Once I started to listen, I really didn't want to stop. I loved the characters and the way the story was put together warmed my heart, even as I saw the turns the story had to make I still loved the ride. also, I demand a Thimble plushie. Please?
