Overcoming trauma for love

Beautiful love story for this couple. a woman kept imprisoned just to be given away for marriage to a rival clan war chief that is scared by the lost of his wife and child. patience to the end for both. really lovely story.

Very Good

Enjoyed this creative storyline. It was nice that our heroine & hero were just “almost” ordinary commoners in a world of classes & rugged Highlanders. Loved both leading characters, very enjoyable. Narration excellent also.

Brought me to tears…a must read that is not predictable! The author combined pain and love for a climactic ending!

This was a recommendation on Audible. I am so glad I purchased it. Loved the story, loved the narration. This book made me laugh and put a lump in my throat. Can’t wait for the next book in the series.

oh the plot twists 🪢🪢🪢

Bryce & Dory: triggers: domestic violence, arson, infidelity. Well this book was awesome. I wasn't expecting half of the things that happened in this book so I can say that the plot twists are twisting with this one. Bryce is a widow and the war chief to Lachlan and because Cam was accidentally handfasted in the previous book, that leaves Bryce to marry the McCurdy girl for the rights to the sea. Bryce is not having this at all but because his Laird said so, he does his duty. Dory is the daughter of the McCurdy Laird and has been offered on an arrangement that if she is married to a McKinley then the McKinley clan will have access to the the waters. But when they arrive the McKinley's notice how mistreated she is and that she is mute. The story goes through so much drama with the agreement and now someone trying to kill Dory and to top it all off, Bryce is going back and forth with both his guilt and his feelings for his new wife. It's a really good story. I enjoyed it.

Loving this series

The characters from both novels in the series thus far are fantastic. Love the dynamic and the continuation of each story from one to the next without cliffhangers. Looking forward to reading the 3rd installment and wish it was available on audible now.

I really liked that the couple both survived loss and finally realized they loved each other.

I'm not sure that I didn't like anything about it, but the story is very long. I'm not sure it could have been told as well if it was shorter? I saw the book in 3 parts, and each part was necessary for the ending.
