Deception

By the end I was completely fed up with Lindsey's insecurity and unwillingness to take responsibility for her own actions. She constantly second guessed his character. The story was so wonderful and could have been so much more beautiful. It's just a shame that her issue began taking dominance in the story for the final 2 1/2 hours.

Great start to a new series!

This book had a great story. I'm very excited to see where this new book series is going to go. great characters along with very nice love scenes. I do wish there was a little bit more spice but in the end it was a really great book and I want to read the second one when it comes out

Great characters and story!

Loved this narrator! Easy to follow and she really brought the different characters to life.

Secrets tell no Lies

I loved this readers gentle voice in both the male and female parts. I liked how they both held secrets without lies, just half truths.
I loved how their reasoning about problems, was so wrong, but worked out perfectly. Nicely done.

I cannot tell you how fast I snatched this up when I saw it! The Mckinkey series is my favorite, I've listened to it so many times. so to see a whole new series starting was so exciting!

yes, there are tons of books to choose from in this genre of Scottish romances, but I love how Alison Handon takes these tropes and makes them new with deep characters, emotions, and action! I'll be impatiently waiting for the next one haha.

but im still wanting my Lachlan & Kenna McKinley prequel 🤣

Great Audiobook

I really enjoyed this book I can’t wait for the next book. The narrative was great. The pacing was perfect.

Not For Me

So hard to get through. Finally spread it up bc the men’s voice sounded like cave men. Do not like the narrator and would not listen again. All voices sounded the same depending on the sex. Disappointed in descriptive writing. Sounds to elementary compared to what I’ve read. I kept with it bc I bought it unfortunately.

The narrator was good

I like historical novels. Be warned, the story lined dragged to the point of frustration. I did have to fast forward. The preview makes the book seem more exciting than the actual story. Use caution before purchasing.
