His only way out is to navigate the ever-shifting alliances and shady dealings between the Guilds of Dalmanii. Hal and his friends will have to fight assassins, thieves, mages, thugs, and even the city's automaton peacekeepers if they want to see Brightsong again.

Stop shitting on Hals life please

I love your stories, your characters all of it, but how did it take Hal so damn long to realize his luck is shit? He needs to take care of his home lol

starting to feel repetitive

I like the story and the characters but it's following the same pattern as most other lit RPGs and adding new story lines for no reason until you kind of forget about or stop caring about the old ones.

To much skill/ability analysis

I think about 1/4 or more of the books is going over skills and which ones to pick. It's getting a bit long winded and is distracting from story progression.

Stayed with the theme

I have always loved the beast born series and have listened to every book but found this one slow and feeling a bit non engaging the antagonist was built up slightly but I feel not enough for the mistress and a lack of response from the mistress’s forces a bit counter to what she was built up to being. And the tribes seemed to proceed too smoothly. I will continue with the next story as this did set a good starting point for the next one.

Excellent Storytelling by the author and Performance by Narrator.

The Narrator was top notch as usual (I love Pavi, he always does an excellent job.) and the author is also doing an amazing job. As the story goes on it just gets better and better in my opinion and this is probably my favorite book so far. This book is practically a masterclass on forshadowing. He keeps dropping things here and there that we're like "Wait what?" and then just moving on but I'm content to wait cause he's done that in the past and then answered those questions later on when I've already forgotten it sometimes lol.

Love this series but...

I absolutely adore these books but this one feels kind of like it didn't really go anywhere. A whole lot of sitting around and going over stats in the beginning which I can understand a refresher from the last book. Was just kind of hoping for more of the story to be pushed forward and instead got an interesting side quest and World expansion.

I need more great book to the series. The new adventure in new lands was excellent and different. Thank you for the side quest.

It's just a side story

I really enjoyed this series, but this book has just been a side quest. and a filler book

Series is going Great

Series is going Great and as always recorders amazingly. I love the in depth of the mechanics.

Just Lacking something.

Little underwhelming, felt rushed, thrown together and just lacked something not what I've been use to from beastborne.

Still looking forward to next installment.
