V.K. Ramsey's very personal book approaches addiction recovery in a new and very different way from what addicts or their family members, as well as codependents, have been offered so far. His research is widespread and in depth, his unwavering care in suggesting an array of ways to help oneself as an addict heartwarming, his quest to uncover the truth behind one's pain as well as the root cause of an addiction relentless, and his courage to share his own journey and write about self-love, mindfulness, and compassion inspiring!
Attempting to find the right approach toward healing an addiction, it starts with the fact that addiction is not a disease, contrary to what everyone might have been told or what more or less every author suggests, and continues to find a solution and offer effective recovery strategies.
