Ep. 6 - What Even is ADHD Life Coaching & Mentoring Anyway?

There's a LOT of discussion in the coaching industry at the moment, and I'm hearing from more and more people who have had crappy experiences with coaches (and some of the things said, by coaches, to people with ADHD, has been a wee bit horrifying to be perfectly honest).

So today I'm creating a bit of clarity around what I actually do as a coach and mentor. I'm hoping it makes some sense to you!

Here are links to the things I mention in the episode:

    Want to work with me?

Whether you want to get straight into ADHD Life Coaching and Mentoring, you want some mindset support via one of my courses, or you want to make a media request, or you just want some freebies to get you started, everything you might need is on my site. And if it's not there, give me a shout.

  • Ep. 5 - Be More You But Be Less ADHD?!
    Nov 4 2021

Ok. I...sort of ranted in this episode. BUT, if you know of my rants (occasionally seen on Twitter and Facebook!) you'll know this is quite a "tame" rant. Primarily because... I could just go on for DAYS, and it's very close to the bone for me.

Have you ever had someone say to you, "you're so great! But you know...you might be better if you were a little bit more...something else." Yeah...it sucks. It's awful, because they've basically just told you, in a weird way, that...you might be more acceptable if you were less you.

So that's what I discuss in today's episode! I'm not sorry, either. Today is DEFINITELY more like a Dear Diary episode, and I like those because I like to connect with people on a "human" level.

    ***EXCITING NEWS!!***

The number of people asking me how to address certain topics has gone through the roof. I recently opened up some more coaching hours, and now I'm super close to being fully booked. Which is great, for sure, but it FRUSTRATES me because I know there's a load of people I still can't help.

SO I MADE A COURSE FOR YOU!!!!!

It's a powerful confidence boosting and mindset course, and it's designed for - and by - people with ADHD.

Rammed CHOCK FULL of videos, mantras, audio, downloads, group coaching, and more, it's a 4 week digital course, and it becomes available TODAY ((November 3rd, 2021). It's also a Founding Members beta course - which means, given that I want to make sure it's 100% perfectly curated for you, when you purchase the course I want you to literally tell me what you want. I have the content all lined up - but you're going to help me jigsaw it all together, so that you literally get a tailor made course.

You know what? It's easier if you just visit the page I created for you - everything is right here.

  • Ep. 3 - ADHD and Executive Dysfunction
    Oct 21 2021

Welcome back to EPISODE THREE of the ADHD Life Letters!

I touched on another subject which actually overlaps with last week's episode about goals - this week, it's

    EXECUTIVE DYSFUNCTION.

Generally, when it kicks in, it can be crippling. We can set goals around it, but it's harder to gauge whether we have the right goals in place in order to manage Executive Dysfunction. And of course, if you have Pathological Demand Avoidance, you're in for a whole different kind of ride (but it's a ride I can help you with!)

Anyway, whether executive dysfunction for you means doing ALL THE THINGS, or just doing NOTHING AT ALL (or doing all the things you really don't need to do?), I'm right there with you. In today's episode, I rant a wee bit, I most definitely sympathise a lot, and I give you basic tools to perhaps address the situation in a roundabout way.

I think at some point I mention my support group (I can't remember. Of course I can't remember.) But if you'd like some more direct access to free life coaching, then you're welcome to join the FREE membership ADHD Support group on Facebook - The ADHD Life Academy. It's like, Neurodiversity University, and designed to make people feel like they actually BELONG. There's loads of info, early bird offers, seriously - FREE coaching opportunities, and loads more. Come join us! (No obligation, of course...)

And I'll see you next week, Thursday 8am GMT!

  • Ep. 2 - Setting and Hitting Goals With ADHD
    Oct 14 2021

Welcome back to the ADHD Life Letters!

It's Episode 2 (2!!! I did another one YAY GOALS!!!) and I'm talking about...
    G O A L S.

Goals are often really hard for many people with ADHD. We have our To-Do lists, which rarely get looked at, or we just do a whole bunch of other stuff instead... Or...we are hit by executive dysfunction and we don't even consider thinking about the goals.

THERE ARE WAYS TO GET AROUND THIS!!! I'm not saying we can beat it...although in some ways, we actually CAN. But there are definitely work arounds, and I go into that in today's show.

Want to explore the possibility of smashing a goal or two without the overwhelm? Or, feel ready to hit those goals head on but don't know how? Listen to today's show, and then give me a shout to see if we can get you a Clarity Coaching Call. A super fast, quick fire session of 40 minutes, where you can blitz through any topic you like with me as your certified Life Coach...all for the cost of a Starbucks caramel flat white, and a grilled cheese toastie! (I'm a sucker for those things, and I'm not sorry about it...)

Head over to my Clarity Coaching Call Ko-Fi page to find out more: https://ko-fi.com/s/39f1992fa8

  • Ep. 1 - Why Did I Go For An ADHD Diagnosis?
    Oct 7 2021

In this episode, I talk to you about the reasons why I decided I should go for an ADHD diagnosis, including all the little (and big!) events leading up to my diagnosis. Some people prefer to NOT be diagnosed, others don't have the opportunity, whilst others prefer to self diagnose - whichever it is, all of the reasons for diagnosis (or otherwise!) are totally valid.

I've often worked with people who have just been diagnosed, and are now trying to navigate their world with this massive piece of hindsight. It can feel a little bit traumatic as you start to re-understand your life, and come to terms with a whole host of emotions. These might include grief, loss, anger, frustration, clarity, confusion, recognition, and more.

If you've recently had a diagnosis and need some help and support, please don't hesitate to get in touch and enquire about a coaching session, with lots of help and support. A diagnosis can be very stressful and leave you in a bit of turmoil, and you might just need a little bit of help and guidance through the next few stages, figuring out what to do next.
