About this listen

Three people. One marriage. One murder.

YOU: My handsome husband Tom. You've given me everything our beautiful son and our perfect new seaside home. I want to trust you, but I know you haven't been honest about why you really wanted to move here. I haven't been honest with you either.
ME: I make a secret promise as Tom kisses me and pours a glass of ice-cold wine to toast the first night in our dream house: I'm going to forget about his past. For the sake of our son, I'll keep this family together, no matter what.
HER: Chloe is the only friend I've made since the move. I love our long lunches, even though she asks prying questions about my marriage. Tom hates me spending time with her, but I ignore his warning to stay away. I've seen the way he looks at her. It's better to keep your enemies close.

You may think you know what's going on in my marriage, but you'll be wrong. Only three things are true: Someone is a liar. Someone is in danger. Someone is a killer.

Fans of The Housemaid, The Perfect Marriage and The Girl on the Train will love this absolutely jaw-dropping psychological thriller.

The narration was great that’s why I selected the audiobook. The sample pretty much summed up half the book. That’s all I could handle. I felt as if I was listening to the same scenario just in a different scene. The main character had no common sense and felt fake in her actions.

It was good, but the narrator kept me engaged more than the story itself. Tamsin Kennard is fabulous, so even when I got frustrated with the story a couple of times, it was worth hanging in there. I'm writing this review after listening to another of this author's stories, and I think the characters' naivety is just a bit too much for me. Still, I plan to listen to more of Sue Watson's work because the first book I tried was excellent.

Good enough to Check out another story By Sue W.

This book was so good I stayed up all night to finish it. There is one thing that bothered me, it felt like it was left unfinished. It felt twisty and turnsy and at the end my mouth just dropped. Looking for a listen that will keep you intrigued? Then this is your listen!

Fantastic

It was a good listen and many times would keep me guessing. The wife was kind of a downer and somewhat clueless. Not the ending I thought it would be. Definitely a twist.

I typically love british narrators but this one had such a nasally voice it was grating and obnoxious. The story also was pretty obvious at parts.

better narrator needed
