About this listen

Hadley Hunter came to Moonstone Bay to find herself. That included finding her passion in life. She just didn’t think it would involve becoming mayor.

She has no qualifications, other than being a powerful witch. Half the town is rooting against her. The other half is just sitting back to see what happens. Only a handful of people are rooting for her, but they’re the only ones who matter.

When a body appears on the beach, one that’s been stabbed in the back and surrounded by curse runes in blood, Hadley finds her attention split. She might be the new mayor, but she’s also interested in what killed a former member of the power-hungry DDA.

The investigation involves old grudges, hidden files, a new witch in town, and the island’s biggest secret. Hadley isn’t ready for any of it, but she’s not going to have a choice.

Someone on the island is trying to keep dark information from coming to light, and it’s going to put them all in danger.

So, brace yourselves, because the new mayor is about to face a very old problem. Can she solve the case and keep the island safe? That’s anybody’s guess, but the odds are stacked against her.

Hadley as mayor.

The characters in this series seem to be maturing and moving forward in life and relationships. I’m interested to see where Aurora goes from this point. Cordelia seems to be falling apart. There is more to their story, I’m sure.

Cute and clever

Another fun adventure as Hadley becomes the Mayor in a place that hasn’t had one for 100 years. And of course a multiple murder mystery with a supernatural twist

Hadley & Galen

As usual, Amanda created another awesome story!!!!! I absolutely love ALL the characters in Moonstone Bay, even Margery (Galens mom). I am also a huge fan of the narrator. She brings the story to life. Both of y'all keep up the great work.

this was a good read

This was a good read. performance was same as always it was good. I get you know what is going to happen when it is over. However a shore ending chapter would have made it a lot better. Just showing the gift and the gratitude.

Game of Thrones Island Style

These elementals really are cut-throat and deceptive on a grand scale. Hadley is an unapologetic mess with a good heart and strong snark. The new Mayor is really what the island needs. We learn more about Cordelia’s issues too and she is actually a very interesting character. Good narration, as usual.

Not as good of a plot as past books.

Plot mostly repetitive and not as good as past plots. Some of characters voices including Hadley gets screeching and annoying.

Who talks like that?

Story is slow and repetitive, the voices and accents are extremely annoying! The narrator should work on voice intonations and accents. I tried to return the book but I seem to have bought it instead of using a credit.
