Story
Two little girls stand with their heads bowed in my living room. I’m told they’re my granddaughters. Daisy is nine, and Alice seven. Daisy is the spitting image of her mother. This is the first time I’ve met them since my daughter and I fell out after she married that waste of space, Vince. They’ve come to live with me because their mother — my daughter — was murdered. In her own home while they slept close by. I think Vince killed her. But the police can’t prove it. I’ve always known he was no good. He treated my daughter like dirt. I said he’d cheat on her — but she wouldn’t listen.

Her father and older brother, Chris, are as devious as ever with their new partner in crime, a disarming lawyer named Beck Merchant. When Sayre is thrown in closer contact with Beck, she senses something more sinister is at play.

Story
Dr. Margaret Richter has it all. She’s rich, thanks to her best-selling self-help books. She has a beautiful home in Cape Cod overlooking the beach. And she has a monthly book club that everyone is dying to get invited to. Literally. Because behind the crystal wine glasses, the fine linens and the catered hors d'oeuvres lies a tangled web of secrets, of deceit, of murder. No member of the book club is innocent—and many are guilty. And the person with the most to hide is Margaret Richter herself.

Terrific!
The books were excellent. Karen Slaughter is a wonderful author who keeps you guessing.
The narrator does an amazing job creating different voices for the characters.
I always enjoy both Slaughter’s books and this narrator’s reading of the stories.

Will Trent is a great series with everything thriller lovers seek. A reluctant and flawed hero with a tragic past, a complicated love relationship, a bossy but awesome partner. Great story with twists and turns galore and surprising bad guys.

Can't Get Enough of This Series!
This series is so great. The stories move fast, the narration is fabulous, you always get closure. Keep them coming and this whole 3 books for the price of 1 is so amazing. Also I love that as soon as I finish one book I can roll into the next!!
