Good story and great value
I listened to this collection after listening to the first Will Trent book. Slaughter’s storylines are interesting and keep you hooked. I’ve enjoyed the storylines as I find they’re well written and realistic and I’m never able to figure out who ‘dun it before the end of the story. I give the collection four stars for the performance due to the fact I thought the narrator for the first will Trent novel was a better choice. But that would not keep me from listening again or recommending this collection to someone.

I love the Will Trent series. KS is realistic without being too over-the-top, gruesome. I love the character development in this series and look forward to hearing the rest.

Good solid mystery procedurals, marred by some distasteful elements
These are well-written thrillers. Good scary parts, head scratching puzzlers, brilliant minds putting the pieces together. Good tangled politics in the department and between agencies, Complicated, sometimes warped personal relationships between full bodied characters with their good and bad traits and tendencies making them more vividly drawn.
What I find off putting is the acceptance of "bad cop" behavior, even while decrying how despicable it is. Badly beating suspects, the deeply ingrained misogyny - and by the way, marital sexual assault is not "hot." Also the wallowing in the violence and torture of women. It seems like each book has to top the last in explicit depravity. It doesn't give me the shivers; it makes me sick. It seems conjuring graphic gore is taking the place of good writing.

I am really getting attached to these characters after four books, lol. I really like her style of writing, and the mysteries are tight.

Great story love this series
I really enjoyed all of these books. They kept my attention and kept me at the edge of my seat. Well worth the time. I’m hooked and can’t wait to listen to the next 3 books!
