What was one of the most memorable moments of The Drowned Girls?

There is so many great moments in this book, it is hard to pick just one.

Which character – as performed by Julie McKay – was your favorite?

I like Angie, but the narrator did a very good job with all the voices. Its the first time I listen to one of her narration but I was pleasantly surprise. Very good.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes!!

Loreth Anne White is a wonderful author. All of her books have depth. Wonderful character development and always believable. This book is just as good as A Dark Lure. Read IT!!

Narration

Narration was annoying due to annunciation. She called a Beamer a bimmer. Kind of robotic at times. Wasn’t a fan of the male voices she did considering some one the males are supposed to be deep voiced and hot sounding. Makes the main character sound like a bitter teenager constantly when it isn’t always the case. Very good story keeps drawing you in. I wish a male read the male parts of the book. I will say if you don’t like swearing, graphic sex scenes or crime details try another book.

There was nothing I like least or best. The story overall was good and the lead characters were equally well portrayed.

Did Julie McKay do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?

I struggle a bit with the narrator. There was this sing-song characteristic to some of the reading that was a little frustrating for me.

Was The Drowned Girls worth the listening time?

Yes, I would say so.

Good Story

This was a good book, however I could have lived with out some of the wording and scenes.
Would read again.

I can’t recommend this

So full of cliches I couldn’t even finish it. Don’t waste your time. Why do female authors think they need to project their heroines as damaged sex starved creatures? Stop buying into the hype and write something real, something real women can get behind. Such a disappointment.

I really wish she would change up the adjectives. But the story is quite good.

intriguing story

I enjoyed the story but the performance was very slow so I had to put it at 1.25 x speed. The character voices were good and at that speed the flow was pretty good!

Almost couldn't stop listening., the narrator did a good job distinguishing people. I am going to check if she has any other books.
