Couldn't stop listening! Loved it!

As some who was also in high school during the early 1980's, I had to keep reminding myself what life had been like during the Regan era. In fact, the big date in the book is one day before my birthday. The book was great though. I had a hard time stopping for little things like work...Lol.

It was great to have Andrea Oliver back, too. I'm glad to see her on her new path. The best moment was the Marshall Tigger part. I'm still chuckling over the mental movie that produced. Made funnier by how accurate it is.

Second best part was when she's in the diner and can only make one call to try for help and calls Laura because she knows Laura will get it.

Kathleen Early did a fantastic job with the accents and even better with the emotions.

I was so addicted to this that I plowed though at warp speed. Now I'm going to go back and read it again at normal speed. 😁

Great book horrible audio recording

The book is excellent but I don’t understand how a professional production of this caliber made it to publication when it sounds like it was recorded on a mini mic.

Better than pieces of her, bad recording

Kathleen Early, I love your voicing of all Karin Slaughter books- WHY does it sound like you’re recording in a bathroom stall. The reverb of your yells in dramatic scenes made me turn the volume down. So sad.
STORY WISE , I want to say I hated Pieces of her, I found Andy to be a whiney little brat and couldn’t stand her crying “mooommmm” the whole book and not moving. I very much put off reading the next book, but readying that Andy joined the Marshalls, there was some hope. She was far less annoying in this book thank god. Back to Karin’s great thrilling storylines. Kept me guessing the whole time, great ending. Would recommend this one for sure!

couldn't put it down!

All of Slaughter's books are good but there are some that are just perfect and you don't want them to end. This is one of those. Kathleen Early is one of my favorite narrators and she again does a great job here.

Great plot line, the foul language ruined it.

The narration was just ok. The plot, story line begs you to finish. However, I won't download another book by her. The use of f bombs is totally unnecessary and over the top. The use of C word is so disgusting, disturbing and degrades all women.

Whaaaaaaaaaat!!!

This was auto-buy for me because each year I count the days until Karin Slaughter’s new book is released, narrated by Kathleen Early. This could be a new series, the way it ends, will it be?????

PHENOMENAL.... AS ALWAYS!

Loved it! I never have a hard time following her story lines or keeping my attention. I have read every book she's written and to this day, have yet to be disappointed. She's an amazing writer and story teller. Her discrimination is so great that reading/listening to her books is more like watching a movie in my head. Love that about her. Definitely my #1 favorite author and of course my favorite narrator! Early is always wonderful! Her voice instantly transports me to such a comfortable place, emotionally and that puts me in a space of open mindedness and excitement to begin a new book. Now that I've finished this book, I'm going re-read Will Trent series (for the 3rd time). My 2nd favorite series of all time! Of course Ms. Sarah Linton being my #1!!! Still missing Jeffrey tho .... lol

Another good listen from Karen Slaughter.

Loved the story. Especially loved that it was less graphic while still being intricate. Complex characters that can continue into new story lines.

Great story, decent audio

The only thing I didn’t like about the performance is that sometimes she would scream in the microphone. A bit unpleasant.
Other than that, loved the story and found it very entertaining

She never disappoints

Great story and great narrator. I can't wait for the next book. you can tell there will be more.
