Outstanding!!

As an avid Karin Slaughter fan, I didn’t care for her last novel, False Witness. This book, however, knocked it out of the park! The depth of character development, the details and the masterful narration by Kathleen Early made this five star read for me. Looking forward to more books in the USMS series.

Good Memory Needed

This may be an unfair review as I am nearing 70 and have a hard time remembering. There were too many characters in this book for me to keep up with although I followed pretty well and the narrator did an excellent job which helped me a lot. I enjoy books more when there are less people to keep up with. Overall, though, I enjoyed this book.

For all Karin Slaughter fans!

Enjoyed the book. However, the audio was problematic. I love the voice of Karin Slaughters characters, Kathleen Early. However, this recording was subpar. The volume was uneven with characters shouting and yelling to the point where it was distracting. I found myself constantly manipulating the volume control.

Heartbreaking / satisfaction

The story was good except ,there where to many character's with a split time-line.

Great narrator, great suspense until the end!

I have read many Karin Slaughter books and some moments are tough to read - or listen to - but the suspense is always top notch for me. I never can guess what the outcome is and she has a perfect narrator for her books.

Better than Pieces of Her

Great plot and I’m a fan of telling the story real-time and in flashbacks. Slaughter has developed a strong heroine and a compelling villain that I hope to see more of in the future.

Didn’t even know this was a sequel! So good on its own. Great story and mystery

Great story

I enjoy psychological crime novels and this one kept my attention and had me wondering what was coming next. I didn’t instantly figured out who committed the crime like I did in other novels, so the mystery was good. Would recommend.

Better than the first book

I was drawn in immediately into the story. Andrea's character has finally found her way in life. The mystery was a good one. I didn't figure out who the killer was until the chapter where it was revealed. Violence against women (or anyone) is never downplayed in Slaughter's books. The narration was excellent.

A must!

My first by this author and I will be adding her to my collection! Highly Recommended!
