About this listen

Have you ever known what it feels like to die?

It’s not great. Trust me, I don’t recommend it.

I’ve always said that my life is about surviving, but I didn’t realize how true that was until the devil sent me soaring off a bridge with the love of my life and lodged a bullet through my thigh.

It’s not my time to die.

He should know by now that I’m a survivor, and it’s going to take a little more than a submerged Dodge Ram at the bottom of the river and a bullet to take me out.

I want my revenge, and I want it now. Lucien Valentine will not get away with this.

Someone should have warned me that when you’re playing with fire, you’re bound to get burned. This game just upped the stakes and this time, I might not have what it takes to make it out the other end.

It’s okay

I’m starting to lose interest in this series. I know she’s suppose to be this strong heroine but her choices is stupid and how she thinks that’s she’s the only person who can deal with the situation is getting on my nerve. Both narrators did an excellent job at narrating

OMG

Everyone that surrounds Skylar seems to get hurt. Lucien is still out there lurking in the shadows..Accidents happen .. Even as strong as Skylar is, her fears.take.over. Fears for her life, her brother, her friends and family. What a twisted world she lives in. always looking over her shoulder. I can't wait to see what happens next.
Stephanie Kay narration is phenomenal! The emotions, personalities, voices of each character is perfection.

Might die waiting for book 4

Seriously, how could I NOT read this book after that ending in book 2?! Thankfully, it picks up right were 2 left off and I found myself thinking, ‘Wow, this is so aptly titled…’ just a few minutes in. Absolutely brilliant.

Anne knows how to write an incredibly strong female lead who only manages to grow on multiple fronts and end up even stronger before she’s done.

Action, danger, suspense, violence.
Extreme injuries (from aforementioned action & danger).
Found (literal) family.
Fun, current pop-culture references.
Realistic banter.
Jocks … and mean girls.
Heart-wrenching scenes.
Trafficking (of minors).
Talk of SA (of minors).

I can’t even describe the hold this series has on me—the writing, the fictional town/world, the characters, the suspense, the action, the mix of violence and hope of a bright future—and STILL the promise of a very dark immediate future … it just packs everything and moves FAST. 100% recommend—but you’ll need the whole series, trust me on that one.

After absolutely dying for it, it was everything I expected it to be, and more. Can’t wait for the next.
4.5 stars.

Drama, Mystery, and Danger!

This is the third book in the Aston Creek High series. I love this series. The story continues where the second book left off. There is a lot going on in this installment. Skylah and Slade's story is action packed, and entertaining, filled with drama, mystery, danger, and twists and turns. The supporting characters are great, and they have an important part in the story. The book ends with a big cliffhanger, and I am looking forward to listening to Real Girl, the last installment in the series, to know what happens next. We need a closure! Stefanie Kay did a great job bringing this story to life. #PFPAudio

Wild Girl

This is the third book in the Aston Creek High series. Wow I am speechless. I should have known what was going to happen. I just wanted Skylah and Slade to catch a break. They have both been through so much. Lucien needs to be taken out. I need the next book immediately. Stefanie Kay has done a phenomenal job narrating this series so far.

WOW JUST WOW

This is such a good series. I love how she's so strong, but she's learning how to let people in. This is one of my top 5 series. The cliffhanger, though Wow, talk about leaving somebody in suspense. I'm gonna constantly going to be checking for the next one and coming out. I love this author, and The narrator's did such a good job at bringing these people to life.

What a wild ride!

This series was kinda all over the place but I was drinking in every second of it! We start off with Skyla having to fight for her life after she and Slade were attacked and shot at. The moment she woke up and Slade realized broke my heart in two and then put it back together. Also with her aunt and brother, so much emotions! I thought it was cute Slade breaking her out and I liked her and Nessa at the game (even if Slade was suuuuper pissed haha). The amount of progress in this one versus the last book in terms of the plot and some side relationships was awesome. I was engaged and devoured this one way too quickly; I am so happy book 4 comes out in a couple weeks, won’t be long to wait!

I felt so bad for Blake, I definitely got teary-eyed when he eventually got through to Skyla and the aftermath following. I loved how their aunt stood up to the police, how they all banded together for both recoveries with this new family. We get some crucial information regarding what happened to their parents all those years ago. We are finally getting a good picture of how Skyla and Blake got to where they were and how they were treated. We finally get some movement on the Lucian case but it does backfire on them with that cliffy! The love story between Slade and Skyla was beautiful even though it had its bumps and bruises along with the highs. I loved how close they have gotten but that Skyla called him out when he was being horrible to someone when he shouldn’t have been. and Slade gave it right back and yells at her and holds her accountable with her help and recovery. So adorable and the ending crushed me as much as Slade’s breakdown in book 2. Also Damien and Nessa *swooooooon*. They are fabulous together and loved how awkward they get hahaha. I didnt expect the video culprit to oust herself and also the stalker ex-bestie is so weird and creepy. I feel like she will do something super bad in book 4, but I am gonna wait to finish out the series on audio!

Narration was good. I did miss the male narrator a bit, but the female narrator did a good job in this one. So many emotions and her performances and portrayals did a fantastic job bringing everyone to life. From the normal crew to the baddie and his son and wife. I appreciated all the facets she had to contend with and she did a good job adapting and handling all the different characters. I do wish there were more differences between some accents/characters, but overall still a solid 4-4.5 stars for the audio! Cannot wait to listen to book 4 in a couple weeks <3

Highly recommend this series, this contemporary M/F suspenseful, funny, steamy, and twisted story is so gripping and emotional, you will fall in love with these characters like I have!

Wild Girl, Wild Ending! Awesome Story & Narration

Sheridan Anne takes you on another wild and dangerous ride in this third book of her “Ashton Creek High” series. This book picks up where the second book, “Lost Girl”, ended, which was a mind-blowing cliff hanger. Skylah and Slade make it out, but not without serious injuries and the threat of Lucien returning hangs over their heads. The police are finally taking them more seriously, but that makes Lucien even more dangerous. Sky finally gets answers to why they came after her parents those years ago and the reason they took her and her brother. The answer was not one she was expecting to hear. There is never a dull moment in this fast-moving, action-packed story, the twists and turns keep coming, and Skylah feels responsible when Lucien goes after Blake and she regrets getting him involved. And like the other books, this one ends in a cliffhanger and leaves you needing to know what happens next. This book captivated my attention from start to end, the writing, plot and world building are fantastic, as are the character growth and development. The drama is non-stop and there is angst, thrilling and suspenseful moments, heartfelt emotions and steamy romance. Sheridan Anne, thank you for another wild ride. I am looking forward to what happens next and how it will all play out.

🎧 📚🎧 Stefanie Kay continues to impress with her fantastic narration, making the characters and story come alive. I love how she takes each role and makes it her own, sounding believable in every role. Her character voices have been consistent throughout the series and the quality of the audio is top-notch. She continues to set the perfect tone for the story, captures all the characters’ emotions and has you feeling them all. Stefanie Kay is a versatile voice artist and her talent knows no bounds. She is an entertaining storyteller and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another exceptional listen.

Such a good series!

Wild Girl is book 3 in the Aston Creek High series. Slade and Sky’s story just keeps getting better! The non stop drama, action and twists held my attention until the end. The connection between Slade and Sky continues to burn bright. I hate these cliffhangers, but excited to see what happens next.

Stefanie Kay did another great job portraying all these characters!

I can't believe there's only one book left! This one was exciting from beginning to end and left me hanging on the edge of my seat. Stephanie Kay did a fabulous job narrating as always, this was a fantastic listen. I really loved how Slade and Skylah's relationship evolved in this one and I adored Damian and Nessa's back and forth and their big moment. I'm really excited to start Real Girl and watch Lucien find his downfall.
