Listened on a solo drive. Entertaining and fun. There are so many interesting characters that you find someone you know in each of them. Great listen.

Always a great read

If you haven’t already read Ms Lashley’s books then you haven’t had a great laugh in a while.
All of her books take place in Florida. You can learn a lot about Florida’s history and get to know different towns.
This book will take you from St Petersburg, Florida to the north Florida woods to visit her family and take time to enter the Fruit Cake contest. A family tradition.
You will also learn more about her boyfriend and how he wants to make a commitment to her.
I do suggest that you read the books in order for a better understanding of the story line.
Do yourself a favor and read her books so you don’t loose your mind during this election cycle.

I am enjoying this series.

This series is lighthearted and funny. I am enjoying it, especially since I live in Florida. I like the contrast between the normal and crazy with the characters. The author did a great job creating an unbelievable but possible environment with a well done performance. I love that all the books are on audible now.

Too Predictable

I found this to be a bit stupid rather than funny. Too many dumb southerners. I don’t think I’ll read anymore as I can easily figure out what’s going to happen

fun stories, awkward narration

like this storyline but the accents are bizarre. I lived in FL for a while and never heard any accents like these, very much a distraction from the storyline. Admittedly I never met anyone from the Greenville area, but I surely never met anyone with these accents. I will try five oh and decide whether I'm committing further
