I love Val but

I just wish Val would put on her big girl pants and just deal. Along with the other side stories. Yes eventually they come out strong. But give Val some credit. I know there is ways people can be so dramatic but at some point let Val make one good decision. lol. But I love all the books

Hilarious!

More Val! More Val! More Val! The Val Fremden books are funny, unique, zany, and entertaining. The narrator has a pleasing lower register voice and speaks like an actual human! Best narrator. Thanks again!

Just a fun listen

Loved all the characters, I laughed all the way thru this book & could not wait to move on to the next! Light, funny & wholesome. Thanks Margaret

Funny but…

The story is interesting and sometimes funny but the characters got on my nerves. They are in their fifties but act and talk like immature twelve year olds. Narration was great though.

Full of dry humor

This was a very humorous book. I will be listening to more of Margaret Lashley’s writing!

Val is Back!!

Love this series and always love theses books and a little sad when I finish each of them. Hoping there will be a next book so we can find out what happened to Tom!!

I love Val!

Too short! seems too short for the use of a credit. But the narration is great and the characters are vivid and done well love the trouble she’s always getting in to great to listen to makes me laugh out loud!

Very bad, nothing like her previous books

I listened to all of her books in the previous series and also really love Sarah Pesek narration. The previous books helped me when I could not sleep. So I was excited when these new titles came out. It is so disappointing but these seem to be actually written by AI.

Not only the various expressions repeat hundreds of times through the books, but the story lines and characters are disjointed. I also missed the depth of the previous characters. Also, Val Fremden at her whiniest pretty much ruins these 2 books. How much bad luck can one have and how cowardly and meek can she get?

Repeated expressions like: I nearly gasped; My nose wrinkled; her eyebrows touched her hairline, etc are what give it away that either this author became extremely lazy or just used chatbot.
