About this listen

United Earth burns.

The Swarm runs rampant across our space. We mourn the loss of thousands of ships and millions of fallen comrades. Billions of fathers, mothers, sisters, and brothers - all gone, all dead. It is time we end this, for our moment has come.

But victory never comes without sacrifice. Heroes are not taught nor trained but forged in blood and ashes. Our grandchildren's history books will tell our story and glorify the heroes and legends.

The Swarm will be conquered; we will prevail. At any price.

Well portrayed

I thoroughly enjoyed Me. Tremblay's performance of each character. He gave each of them such believable personalities.

I got lost...

And... I got lost.. a dozen times. And you would say that's often heard from people who are disappointed and you would be right... but not this time. I got lost because so many characters where good, then bad, then you don't know. It is a very interested way the author has made the links between the different main characters in the book. This book rules them all! If you like book 1 and 2 - you will be thrilled by this book. HIGHLY recommended! Job well done by both - author and narrator. Great story, great performance, lots of sci-fi, lots of interesting situations. It is one of the strongest and most interesting books I've listen!

Great series but too real?

This was a great trilogy of books I couldn't put down until I had finished all 3. I read the first book shortly after it was released and was disgusted by how realistic the politicians were. I had a hard time picking up the series again when it was completed because I like to have the "swamp drained", corrupt politicians get killed off. So in the end I gave the story a 4 because it was just too realistic. Substitute names and war zones and it would fit into a true life tale of today's politics

Perfect ending in chapter 81.

I recommend not reading the last 2 chapters. They create a plot twist that is not needed or wanted.

Outstanding!!

This entire series has been Great, but Book 3 is over the top!!! Must Read! A super good story line that has many unexpected twists, and all were explained before the book ended. All successfully were linked back through the first two books! I simply stand and applaud Mr Webb for an outstanding book. And the voicing really brought it home. I like this book. Thank you!

Good, overall. Cheap read though.

What did you love best about Victory?

This had some very interesting ideas as a series, and some fantastically hilarious points. However, i was highly disappointed in the ending and in how the "Secret Government Plots" stuff ended up playing themselves out. I was very interesting in learning more about the presidents and having them be a part of the story, both american and Russian but it all ended very.... anti-climatically.

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

Eh, it was ok. I was disappointed in each book individually, but all together it was okay. The ending was.. highly anti-climatically.

What does Greg Tremblay bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

The voice and performance of the reader was fantastic though. Sadly, the story just didn't quite live up to what i was hoping for, but the performance was first rate.

I got better than expected especially the ending

I initially thought not to continue the story line seemed okay, but became more intrigued when Capt Grainger returned cancer free. Keep reading it gets better

I was blown away - it was the best sci-fi drama I've read in years

This book, like the series, has been entirely gripping, fascinating, and suspenseful at every turn. All the puzzles, motivations, and events fit together in a masterpiece tapestry of a story that was one of the most interesting, suspenseful, and unpredictable stories I've read in years.

While some of the specifics aren't realistic beyond the 4th wall, the story arc is meticulously faithful to its own material. It's no hard sifi but that doesn't even matter.

This was a review of both the book and the overall trilogy.

Furthermore, Greg Tremblay did a fantastic job at narrating this story.
