First strike

This was an excellent book, the storyline and the characters in the story for first class,

I was surprised

I purchased this book thinking I would give it a try but I wasn't expecting much. However, I was very impressed with book and the narration. The book was a little predictable but it was worth the investment of time. I just purchased the second book and hope that it will continue to impress.

If you like the halo books, or star wars books with thrawn this will fill that void.

I think the writing could be better, particularly dialogue. the things that weren't predictable felt....forced. The va is limited by the writing, it's no starship troopers.

Wow, a pretty good performance

Normally I only play audible books while driving yo work. Most music today just doesn’t interest me. Anyway, this book caught my attention though the twist is a tired cliche. Someone is a Star Trek fan. The performance entranced me from the beginning and I finished it in two days and if you like science fiction, excellent performances, then this one will be a good audible to listen and hopefully you’ll have better self-control.

I love this author and this new series is the best of his work! I hope it’s a long series!

fun huah scifi!

I thought that the book was well written still waiting to see these twists and turns it does end of cliffhanger that's for sure. it's prettysci-fi! Haha Military stuff with ship heavy scifi

Awesome start to a new series

The star ship fighting was amazing easily my favorite part. Addictive story I couldn’t put it down. Can’t wait for book two.

You won't believe it til you read it

The story was a fantastic look into a future of Earth and humanity spread to the stars with a past developed over time and a the creation of an uncertain future.
The performer was excellent, providing the emotion needed to immerse the listener.
Director Note; maybe don't have the performer read, He laughed then have the performer laugh. one or the other.
Note for the author: the use of the same descriptive phrases was apparent but obviously didn't deter me for continuing the story or stopping me from continuing the series.

narrator flawlessly implements multiple voices

This book was a shot in the dark, and it turned out to be a fantastic purchase. I was skeptical but I really wanted a new exciting sci-fi fleet fantasy and this book got it while the physics of combat may not match up with some more realistic of space combat books the descriptions of the creativity of the author as well as the fantastic efforts by the narrator to voice act all mesh together very well.

Silly dialogue

Silly dialogue and overly dramatic. I will not be recommending this title. Light weight sci-fi.
