I must say that I found myself questioning how many times a person can ask themselves the same question and ignore the obvious answer without having that 'ah-ha' moment? Both the main characters, Brook and Sam, did this repeatedly until I was ready to stop listening, but I held hope the author would FINALLY bring them to some sense and accept their feelings for each other. I understand fear... and I understand the desire to keep a strong bond from being broken, but there comes a time when you just have to say 'screw it! I'm going for it!'. It took an inordinate amount of time for these two to get there.
Bottom line, the story is a good one and with this one exception, it's worth listening to, depending on your patience level. Take a breath and give it a shot.
