Really worth it, although looonnnng. Scott B. does a good job on this one, brining each character to life. Wasn't sure where this story as going to go, and it did go far. Perhaps abit drawn out, it still held me, and I recommend it.

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

This story seemed to take a LONG time to get going. I nearly stopped listening a couple times because it just seemed to be going nowhere..slowly. Finally I had enough time invested that it seemed a shame not to finish the thing off and get to the end. Also, finally the story picked up enough that I had some interest.

I did hang in there and was glad to see the heroine achieve her goal. It was also interesting to see how some basic human traits were portrayed and played out.

What was most disappointing about Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child ’s story?

The story felt like it took a long time to develop. I did not really ever engage with the characters and felt they were rather 1-dimensional in their development. I would have loved to have heard more of the history and archaeology involved. While that would have made for a longer book, I think it would have added to it overall.

Did Scott Brick do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?

Initially the falsetto voices of the females was annoying..and well, honestly...it stayed that way.

Could you see Thunderhead being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

If it was I doubt i would watch it.

Not my favorite

Only one thing anoied me in this book and it stuck out because I have a degree in pharmacy. Amphotericin B is antifungal not antibiotic. Antifungals are used to treat fungal-infections and antibiotics are for treatment of bacterial infections. Amphotericin B is not affective against bacterial infections. Liked the book , will deffenetly listen again.

Nora's Basset Hound, Thurber, was inspired by my grandma's Basset, Andale, haha. Great story too!

Douglas Preston was my grandma's neighbor!

Decent story. I see little to no value of so many dead animals though. And more people died than necessary. Trite IMO, that only the main protagonist and one other survive.

I almost didn't bother to finish. Other readers will likely enjoy the story line. The reader was very good. I sped up to about 1.2. I don't like very slow reading.

Darker than what i normally read

I like archeology. I like Santa Fe. Thought the two combined would be interesting, but the story drags. Narration's fine, it's just the whole thing is nothing special.

Modern version of the search for El Dorado

What did you love best about Thunderhead?

The story kept me engaged and on the edge of my seat much of the time. I love Native American stories and this story taking place in Indian country was right up my alley. The performance had all the right pronunciations for native places too.

What did you like best about this story?

I love the fact that the action never seems to end. It was easy to follow and hard to put down.

Which scene was your favorite?

The part where Nora was trying to get away from the skinwalker in the tower was one of my favorite because I wasn't so sure she was going to get away.

Any additional comments?

I read this months ago and just had to go back and read it again.

a repeat read.
