Magnificent
I love the dual time-line! I enjoyed the seamless merge of both stories, characters and how everything comes together in the end! I have read several of the author's works and each one is magnificent!

Original ghostly twist on highway thievery in old England.
Strong female character whose decisions were based on the unfairness of being married only for her money at a young age. Unscrupulous husband about to sell her childhood home from under her, and his monetary demands from his starving tenants, causes her to take matters into her own hands. In return she finds much danger, adventure and a love she has never known. Her story is entwined with a modern young man who joins his uncle to restoring her old home who is struggling with the strains of his own failed relationship and journey towards a meaningful relationship. Fun read bittersweet ending.
