wonderful
The author manages make a straightforward storyline that is still engaging to the reader. His characters are believable and their progression as people is enjoyable. However the best thing about this book is that it is absolutely hilarious.

Better as it goes.
Really enjoyed the story, but it ended much stronger then it began. Liked the companions more and more as it progressed. Definitely left me interested in the next book, especially with the massive level up an no description on stats.

Chuckles and witticisms abound in this great work
I loved every moment of it. The characters are quirky and funny. The protagonist is full of the most interesting witticisms I have ever heard.

doesn't bog you down with stats
very funny story with interesting combat. best part is that the author does a great job at not filling this book with unneeded stat information. when he does give stats, short and concise and moves on.
