Publisher's summary

With the forbidden ones now causing chaos around the world of Risona, other kingdoms are in trouble and need help.

They are notified that enchanted weapons have been located and send delegates to negotiate for said weapons, but as they travel, they are accosted throughout the journey.

Dom and his family are trying to deal with the soldiers and people who are sent to the fortress by their queens. When tempers flare and get out of hand, it results in death. The runemaker finds that his new powers are hard to contain when his emotions get the better of him. And it doesn't help when others challenge his authority and his claim of being a suitor to the kingdom's crowned princess.

Throughout the book, Dom is tested emotionally and physically, but he endures with the goal of arming the world with his weapons against the evil ones. Even though he will make a killing on the fees for his weapons. But hey, got to make a living somehow. And he did get permission from a god to do so.

This is the fifth book in the Traveler series. Intended for mature listeners.

Favorite from Z.J. &it just keeps getting better

My only complaint is how long between books and audibles, but it is so worth the wait! It really progressed the story along and the meeting with the queen is pending. Decisions are made about the runesmith and more people join the fort. Really looking forward to the next installment, but not the wait in between!

Good series

I think the series has lost its initial quality. The first 3 books were great. This 5th book felt like filler with poor character interactions and unusual situations and as filler as it felt it still managed to feel like info was lacking.
If there is a book 6 I hope it has some meat.
My thoughts after finishing this:
My weapons waaaa waaaa waaaa
Proven most powerful person in the world. But everyone wants to fight him. ( that works once or twice not entire book )

could have been less polite.

I liked the conflicts. I don't like how polite everyone is now. it takes up to much time saying something that could be said in few words. and that would given more room for more story. and maybe it wouldn't have ended not on a cliff hanger. but in the middle of a chapter.

Too short

I like the author and his work but the length of this book felt like a side quest with an abrupt ending.

what happened

I used to enjoy reading about Dom and his overpowered antics, but he does not appear to be the same badass as he was in book 1&2...those women have way too much say in what he does and they just whine all the time, and when they are supposed to be defending him, they are chastising him by saying he was being too harsh or overreacting , dude is a killer surrounded by killers. at least he warns them before taking action. I don't know maybe the story branched out too much in so many directions, you really can't appreciate anything, cuz you're steady trying to keep track of what's going on. though Chris in the other series is going the same route as Dom.

bla bla

man this series started out pretty good ,I don't mind the sex stuff skip it usually as it's obviously from a juvenile male perspective...I'm a bit to old to be able to put that completely ridiculous fantasy in my head .
but the story drags and the Mc is turning into a unreasonable dick ...I want to punch him in the face ...put that together with his frankly woose general personality arrogance I'm hoping the bad guys win here
