Bill Homework amazing narrator!

This is an amazing book but even more so because of the narration by Bill Homewood. He adds an element that enhances my imagination. I love to read but I specifically sought out work narrated by Bill Homewood after listening to his superb performance in The Count of Monte Cristo. He bring the characters to life and evokes such emotion, he never sounds robotic like some monotone narrators. This one is a must! Enjoy!!

A Classic for Good Reason

The Count of Monte Cristo is my favorite novel/serial and I was drawn to this reading of The Three Musketeers because of how much I enjoyed the reading of Monte Cristo by the same production team. The narrator pronounces names and places excellently and gives an authentic experience. He also does voices for all characters that make them distinct and charming. I recommend it highly, and recommend Monte Cristo as well!

Great book.

There is a part towards the end where it gets REALLY slow and I know there was some interesting bits but for about an hour or maybe two it kinda drags when it could of been better. But I loved the story it was my first time through it.

Great on so many levels!

Bill Homewood reading any of Dumas' stories has been a pleasure to listen any time, and I'm on my third listen through this, alternated by Mr. Homewood's superb narration of the Count of Monte Cristo.

Each time I appreciate more and more his way of taking the listener back into the centuries these stories were based on, combining the way Dumas' contemporary readers might have read through his humor, or social and political ideas, many of which would be totally alien to our own times in general.

It's wonderful. I do wish to listen with Bill Homewood to all 5 of the series someday, but it's more than satisfactory for now to hear his interpretation of the characters in their relative youths in this first story.

Dumas never disappoints!

Fabulous characters. Wonderful adventure. Classic Dumas. Compelling story with a performance that manages to give voice to each character in his or her own accent/dialect thus making the story come to life. Absolutely recommend for males and females of all ages. The Three Muskateers hasn't lost its flavor through the course of time. It's appeal is universal. I thoroughly enjoyed this Audible book.
