Publisher's summary

On the world of Marconen, your first Break determines the trajectory of your life. Calvin chose magic.

Without proper schooling or a mentor, the boy is dragged by the cruel whims of fate across the face of the planet, blending together different schools of magic and powerful abilities to create something new.

But there's a deeper secret behind his success. Why was he born an exile from his country? Why is his System so strange, and why does it keep talking to him?

As the march of time continues, something evil grows in power across the ocean.

Worth a credit.

I don't want to give anything away but I will say push past the first few beginning chapters.

the beginning just gave the impression of a certain type of MC that most might find annoying. but as said it goes away quickly.

good narration, story acceptable so far, few little things i thought was dumb but the book is still solidly in the "glad i listened to it" category.

Fantastic find!

Narrator took some getting used to, but the story is very well written.

Really felt like I was gambling a credit as this book had so few reviews but very glad I got this.
Very sarcastic books though with a lot of twists and turns that keep you on the edge of your seat.
Decent novel twist on LITRPG so its similar to the rest of the style but has different elements which make it interesting.
Its also sexy without getting indecent, it feels like a pg13 harem type of story.

Hilarious!!!

The magic system is quite unique. It's full of funny scenes, mostly revolving around innuendo. Think horny teen aged boy humor. The narrator is pretty good but needs to learn how to pronounce trebuchet.

Irreverent. Funny. Creative. Intersting. Great book. A world worth playing. I can't wait to read the next book.

Surprisingly not bad

Lets start this off by saying I typically hate harems, truly despise them. For the most part harem stories are filled with shallow charcters, poor plot development, and are masturbatory power fantasies. Had I known about the harem elements of this story I probably wouldn't have bought this book, fortunately I didn't know.

I enjoyed this book alot. This author has proven himself to be quite consistent in the quilty of his work, not all his books are great mind you, but none are bad. I'd give him about a 4.3 avg. over everything of his I've listened to.

Now onto the book, the start was the roughest part for me, to be frank the MC was an idiot (kinda still is tbh, but not in a bad way, just in a teenagers are idiots way). I gave him a break for being a kid but I thought it was going to be struggle for me. Luckily it is explained in the story and is resolved through character growth. Now I know this is what is expected in most stories, but I've found it rare enough in recent years to make it note worthy. This author also has a gift for coming up with interesting power/magic sets for his characters.

If there is one concern I have is the harem of it all, one situation in particular seems like its been set up that worries me and I hope it doesn't go that route. For now i'll give this book 4.7, though honeslty a part of that score comes from setting up a harem I not just tolerated but was kinda ok with. The shear novelty made it a more interesting experience.

Funny with a bit of spice added in.

The bit of spice added in this book was very entertaining. I’m looking forward to the next book.

Solid win

Well written, funny, and entertaining. More importantly, the MC isn't cringe or stupid and makes logical decisions and wins aren't handed to him. Females have personality and are not paper dolls, humor isn't PG, and fight scenes are believable.

Slow start

Starts very slowly but once he leaves the village permanently it picks up through the end.
