About this listen

David Thomen thought he had everything he wanted with his alien lover, Vell of Otharn. Vell reveals that he is pregnant, and David is shocked but overjoyed. David is desperate to enjoy their happily-ever-after, but fate has other plans.

Vell fears their happiness exists on borrowed time. The ghosts of his past won’t stay buried, and when their defenses are down, David and Vell are snatched from Earth. They must face the king and queen of Otharn who are convinced that Vell is still a slave, David is his master, and Vell’s unborn child is a curse on the joined worlds.

Stalked by a power-hungry witch, haunted by Vell’s past, and the future of their child foretold to be one of destruction and chaos, David must navigate this alien world, forge new alliances, and somehow, make an impossible choice.

Will he force Vell to give up their child, or will he be forced to give up Vell himself?

Wow

Wow... This was amazing. I loved the whole story line I thought it was very original idea. The sexy times are hot. Mild amounts of angst. I did not like how the book just ended. I need another book now. Please. I loved the narrator. I thought he did a really great job. I hope he starts narrating alot more MM.

great book

book two is just awesome. Another edge of your seat story. You find yourself cheering , gasping and worrying through almost every chapter. Hoping to find someone on Val's
home world that isn't out for blood.Hoping Laun appears to help but knowing that's not going to happen. And hoping you get to meet Vals first surprise. Can't wait for the
next book.

Amazing sequel!

Some authors write amazing plot, some authors write amazing sex. Caroline is master of both in this fantastic addition to the series. While the horror of Vell’s slavery may be over, his fate and that of his lover David still remain in the balance. The power dynamic that was once Vell’s sanctuary turned personal hell is once again a joy, shared between two equals. Living in the protection of David’s penthouse, it seems as though their happily-ever-after is within reach. And when Vell reveals the impossible to David - that he is expecting their child - all the more.

This is where the plot thickens, as we learn more about Vell’s past and how threats may come from closer to home than either of them realize. This sequel does a great job of continuing the moral conflicts from the first book, while adding many more layers of complexity. Getting to learn and see more about Vell’s home-world was fascinating, and I look forward to reading more about Lonn in book three! We are introduced to new characters in this story that are fantastic to root for (or against), and once again Caroline does a great job of balancing humor, passion, and tension.

In The Prince’s Fate, The stakes are even higher, the climactic moments of sex even hotter, the action scenes more intense, and the emotional rollercoaster has even greater highs and lows. There were several moments when I couldn’t control a gasp aloud! And just like the first book, this series has FANTASTIC audiobooks that I would highly recommend.

Life, love, and Vell’s freedom may all be short-lived. Find out what fate lies ahead for Vell and David in The Prince’s Fate!

This got VERY dark and depressing

This should have a depression warning attached. It's an exceptionally dark story.

AMAZING storytelling and world building, nerration is pitch perfect for EACH character.

Talk about your dysfunctional royal families.
this book could be converted to Shakespeare with little effort. NOW this book deals with prince Val's "parents". His Father is basically a god EMPEROR with a major temper problem and a huge side of sadism, and is voiced accordingly. Even worse he has far more then enough power to back up all of his Promises.

The Queen is a terrifying ice cold monster. And both are out to kill thier sons children because of a prophecy she gave in the first place!

the voice acting for both is chilling, especially the king, who makes EMPEROR Palpatine look like a minor villian.

Great Continuation!

The continued adventures and love trials of Iron Man and Loki, David and Vell, is well worth the listen. Gibson begins to develop her own world more separating her developing world from its, more than obvious, inspiration, which I quite enjoyed. The reader Matt Haynes does a great job bringing the characters to life. I really felt suspense and a sense of urgency about how this would turn out and I’m curious to see where it will go next!

Not as good as the first in the series. Had almost a month break in the middle before getting through this and I really lovede the first. But will still listen to the next when available.

fanfiction!!

I hope this is you story and you did not lift it from Ao3. There is alot of thievery right now and it makes me suspicious of fanfiction that pops up as original stories. It is also funny as hell that people are praising you for characters you did not even create.
