Publisher's summary

Xander

Big City is supposedly the place where dreams come true. As someone just trying to live my life, I can tell you it’s more like a recurring nightmare where dreams get c*ckblocked at every turn.

Especially if you’re a supervillain like me.

The irony is that I have zero powers, despite coming from purebred villain stock, but try telling that to Big City’s beloved hero, Captain Masculine.

This himbo is ruining my research, and if his firepower doesn’t kill me, the sight of him in Lycra surely will. Luckily—or unluckily, in my opinion—my bestie just signed me up for the Bangers dating app and found my perfect match.

If this isn’t the start of my villain arc, I don’t know what is.

Butch

It’s hard feeling like I have to wear a mask every day—that the only value I bring to the table is the sparkling image others have created for me.

Such is the life of being Captain Masculine, Big City’s greatest superhero. This is the existence I was destined for, and I will gladly defend this city against every threat to its people.

Except Doctor Antihero.

I’ve seen countless villains come and go, but something about Antihero intrigues me more than the usual hero-villain encounters should.

It’s because of him that I impulsively signed up for a dating app, hoping a meaningless fling with a local normie will help get my head back in the game. The truth is, what I really want is someone who sees me—the man behind the mask.

But that’s a luxury no superhero can afford.

Not All Himbos Wear Capes is an MM romance between a superhero and a villain. This is not your kid’s superhero book. This is Sin City and The Boys having a love child with extra spicy Spideypool and is meant for 18+ adults who can handle such things.

The Villainous Things series contains standalone books (each with HEAs) that feature interconnected characters and an overarching plot.

The Villains Hero Story I didn't know I needed

I have a new favorite series! I'll be reading the rest of the books, but I have things to get done and need the audio versions so I can keep going without stopping. I am so glad someone gave me more of the dirty side of heroes and the not so evil side of villainy. The narrations were perfect and I got through this book faster than I had planned because their voices made the words even better.

Great narrator!

Story started out in a way I thought for sure would be off-putting, but wow! Narrator and story are excellent. Plenty of laughs, characters to love AND characters to despise

Super Smut Fun with Emotional Zing

The narrators did wonderful work bringing this larger than life story to our earbuds. Xanny comes through as the deliciously dominant Zaddy that he is an Butch is equally adorably bumbling and intuitively sweet.

I love that these two form the perfect match despite all differences and challenges thrown their way.

Loved it!

Had the perfect amount of spice. Lots of humor and surprisingly tender, caring, and sweet. “The answer is always yes” <3

Terrible cover art but the book is really fun. A+

I love a truly clever, witty, sexy, entertaining book and NOT ALL HIMBOS WEAR CAPES is just that. There's not enough really good gay novels of any kind. Most of them are just silly. But not "Himbos". This is top notch and hysterical. i can't stop thinking about Doctor Ownit. What a great name for a therapist. I chuckled all the way through the book and I'm starting it again.

This book combines some of my favorite things. Hero V. Villian/ comicbooks and Romance and sex.

Good, corny fun

I resisted this book in print despite many glowing reviews because it seemed so silly. Once the audio hit, I finally gave in. I’m glad I did because this was a total hoot! I loved the cornball superhero premise, the dom/sub play, and the puns and banter. I was pleasantly surprised by the moments of heartfelt emotion and the nuanced examination of heroism and family. John Solo is my most iffy narrator, but he was a perfect choice for Big City’s favorite himbo. The other narrator was new to me but I really dug his gravel and snark. Looking forward to book two on audio!

I love it sooo much

I really like this book. I found it when I really needed some cheering up. It fun, funny with enough action(smut) to make it worth it. I'm really looking forward to the next book.

Loved!

I saw this book recommended a lot on Instagram and I was really hesitant because it just didn’t sound like my type of thing. I was worried it would be cheesy and hard to get into. But to my surprise I was obsessed! I was sucked in and could not stop listening. John solo is not my favorite narrator for romance… He sounds like Chris Parnell (from SNL and Brooklyn 99, google him you’ll recognize his face lol) and that’s not exactly sexy. But I got used to it and the book is so good it’s worth it. Highly recommend!

So Flippin Good

That was amazing. Just so much fun. The banter was incredible, the spice top notch, and the story was absolutely perfect. I adore Butch and Xander and all their super hero, villain and normie friends.

The chemistry between these two was outstanding, I really loved watching them together, even when they didn't realize who the other was. And the spicy scenes were something else. I'm not usually a "daddy" fan, but Daddy Xan can GET. IT. Butch was so sweet and I loved how he finally felt in control by giving it all up to Xan.

The epilogues and bonus Xmas scene were possibly my favorite parts, especially the Xmas scene. I was so happy it was available on the audiobook, usually they aren't and I miss the extras.

The audio book was really great. John Solo and Philip Alces both did great jobs, I especially loved Xander.

I can't wait to start Gentlemen Prefer Villains and prepare for the release of Enter the Multi-Vers.
