What a pleasant surprise

I must say that I wasn’t expecting much. I purchased the book to pass the time and assumed it would be you typical dystopian fantastical storyline, but I was wrong. I’m purchasing book 2 now!

Enjoyed

I love how it kept me waiting. That’s not normal for a Tate James book, but welcomed.

Obsessed

Tate the queen has done it again. Perfect amount of spice, great story and world building, and the cliff hanger has you running for the next book. The characters are great and the chemistry between them all is off the charts.

great story but the Male narration is...weird. his voice doesnt fit what a younger man should sound like. more like a grandfather

Holy royal cow this is good

This is like British hunger games but so much better! The steam level is still pretty low but the chemistry between all the characters is amazing. Also the MFC is probably one of my favorites of all time. I love her humor, bravery and she’s just flat out so cool.

Love Love Loved

I love The Royal Trials series and it has taken me a long time to find a new audio book that I could really enjoy. This narration was fantastic. It brought another layer of enjoyment to this awesome story. Can't wait for the next two!

I absolutely loved this book when I read it but the narrator's brought it to life! the voices are very rich and pull you into the story.

very interesting read

I really enjoyed this story and the narration. the only inconsistency I was a little confused about was the author was trying to blend an old world castle feeling with modern day and I wasn't sure if I should be picturing old world cobble stones or modern building materials like drywall etc.

Definitely didn't disappoint

Tate has done it again. I have read/listened to almost all her books and she never disappoints. This is a slow burn reverse harem. It does end in a crazy cliff hanger that I am begging isn't true. I am of course going to get the second books and hope the series has a happy ending ha
