About this listen

In business, many people follow the golden rule. But treating people the way we'd like to be treated can turn off clients or colleagues with different needs, wants, and hopes.

The Platinum Rule shows you how to do unto others as they'd like done unto them. You'll discover the four basic business personalities and how to handle them in ways that put them at ease - the key to stronger career prospects, higher productivity, improved customer relations, and fewer conflicts. Those who use The Platinum Rule see people differently, understand them better, and deal with them in ways that turn every encounter into a win-win situation.

Interesting discovery of the personality of one’s self and those around you

As a person who wants to fit in, this book was refreshing and a great reminder that we are all naturally different but can still work well together using the right communication skills.

The only issue I had was that the audio book was not identical to the physical book. I love to listen to the audio book as I am following along to the physical book. So there were maybe about 3-5 times when the books did not line up & I had to skip pages.

Decent Audio

This is a useful program for anyone wanting to learn how to get along better with others or if you want to increase your influence with others. Make sure you draw the diagram described in the audio to get the full impact of the method. A bit too much focus on applying the technique with sales but otherwise a well balanced approach to this method.

A better read

The book is a great read and valuable information is in it. I personally consider it an essential. However, my listening experience was dull. The character voiceovers seemed out of date and the overall tone was a bit monotonous which made me difficult to focus. Reading the book is more enjoyable in this case. I do not recommend the audio version.
