About this listen

In the dystopian realm of The Order, society is eternally divided between the privileged Untouchables and the struggling Unfortunates.

The Untouchables, draped in opulence and power, govern the city with an iron fist, casting long shadows over the impoverished Unfortunates who toil beneath in the murky depths of the working class.

As the ruling elite revel in excess and luxury, the Unfortunates navigate a world stacked against them, grappling with meager resources and restricted opportunities. The social chasm widens daily as the Untouchables tighten their grip on wealth and influence, leaving the Unfortunates to navigate the shadows cast upon their lives.

The Order Series follows the intertwining fates of two sworn enemies—one an ambitious Untouchable seeking to challenge the system from within, struggling to cope as the lies of her society unfold in front of her; the other an Unfortunate yearning for a chance to seek vengeance on any and every Untouchable in his path. Their stories unfold against a backdrop of intrigue, rebellion, and the unyielding determination to break free from the oppressive shackles of a society defined by its merciless class divisions.

The question is, can free will exist in a society this divided?

Wonderful storyline.

The female narrator did a truly fantastic job. Her ability to switch characters was impressive. The writing is great, but holds some room for improvement. The storyline is a breath of fresh air. I truly loved the world building. I am excited to see where the story goes.

🤌🏼🤌🏼

Isabelle Turner and Anthony Palmini were so good in this. I love the story that Katerina St Clair created. I love the depth of the characters, and the light shone on systemic oppression and “racism”. It was a nice “deep dive “ listen, and I can’t wait to see how this story progresses. 🔥🔥🔥

Excellent start to a new series:

Started a bit slow but omg it was so worth it. I am surprised by how much I enjoyed this book. The outcome of the book was in my opinion predictable but nonetheless is was entertaining, impactful and well done. I will keep my eyes open for the continuation.

Phenomenal

What a great start to the series
I read and listen at the same time a lot of times, I must say there is a lot of editing between the book and the audio, to be honest I usually prefer the audio edit but the author’s original story was honestly a work of art, I had been saving this book until the audio came out and I’ve been really good about not spoiling it for myself and I must say it really blew me away how in depth the author is, I loved everything about it. The narration was amazing, they really brought the characters to life 10/10!

Don’t sleep on this

A fast paced, detailed dystopian world ruled by an order who has cruel intentions for anyone who opposes them. In an attempt to create the perfect humans, a society controls their citizens every move. For those who do not pass the purity tests, they are dumped into a ghetto of barely livable conditions. Two people destined to be together no matter how many times they are ripped apart, are willing to risk it all and they slowly begin to see how it affects everyone they hold dear. I loved this book so much.

It was good but where do we go from here

This narrative bears a striking resemblance to Divergent, with its dichotomy between the Factions and the Factionless. The incorporation of mind control chips and the notion of the "tainted" is a fascinating concept. The societal structure, with its rigid hierarchy and surveillance state, is reminiscent of the Untouchables and Unfortunates. The numerous rules and regulations governing every aspect of life are oppressive. Furthermore, the entwined paths of the characters evoke Fallen vibes. Initially, Xavier's character showed promise. The shifters, however, are a dark and enigmatic presence, and their role in society remains unclear. Are they the marked? The apparatus also remains a mystery. The presence of a resistance movement adds depth to the narrative. While this series has drawn comparisons to Hunger Games, Divergent, and Fallen, it remains to be seen whether it will continue to captivate.
